Hopefully this will shut up my friends that think they'll just roll over Montreal. There's a whole world of trouble coming.

I'd say that Carcillo is more likely to sit than Prust. I'm pulling for the Rangers, but he's my Rangers version of Brad Marchant -- a guy who's very hard to root for at times.

As a Rangers fan I agree. I doubt Prust gets anything and if he does it will be minor. I'd say two games tops. As for Carcillo, I'm guessing 5 games. But as always this is the NHL and nobody knows what the wheel of justice will stop on.

what a complete fraud prust is. whines about kreider and then does something infinitely more reckless. pretty sure a ranger didn't cause him to do that to stepan either...

I don't have any problem with it. When I saw the replay, I thought that the primary point of impact was Stepan's chest. I was surprised to hear he had a broken jaw; you don't get a broken jaw when your chest has absorbed most of the contact, so it's pretty clear my first impression as wrong. Also, the NHL video pretty clearly shows that Prust doesn't even initiate the check until after Stepan released the puck, so there's no argument that he was just "finishing the check", and he had plenty of opportunity to ease up.

Yeah, your first impression was way wrong.

Prust actually raises his shoulder to go for the head/chin.

Should be more games, but this is the NHL and their head is perpetually up their own arse.
