Re: 2014 Stanley Cup - Don't Toews me, man!!!

The play where Seabs didn't score looms large.

He scores there and it's game over.

Huge save by Quick.
This.

ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

Hawks fell asleep.

And yes, that's hockey. First goal was complete luck. Two terrible calls...
Also this. But my concern would be why the sleeping occurred. At several junctures of this playoff season, the Hawks have looked like a tired team. I've gotten the sense that they've been pacing themselves at times. Sometimes the 'A' game has been there. Sometimes not, but they've found a way to win anyhow.

Think of it in racing terms. Is there enough gas left in the tank to get to the finish line first, without taking an extra pit stop? Or, if that extra stop is necessary, is there enough margin for error to allow for that? From my vantage point, these look like open questions.

Dr. Heimlich please report to the Chicago bench. Dr. Heimlich please report to the Chicago bench.
I get that you're mostly just having fun with this. But to the extent there's a serious point being made here, I respectfully disagree.

Taking the foot off the gas pedal is indeed a shortcoming.:o But gripping the stick too tightly or otherwise choking is a different malady altogether.;)

I believe the choking doctor's name is Dr. Sharky.:o

A quick Game 2 Brain dump:

- You could sense the Hawks really needed to score on that 5 on 3 or that 2 on 1 to put this game away. They owned the 1st period and most of the 2nd. But alas..
- Once they gave up that fluky goal at the end of the 2nd, it all changed. Then two power plays, two goals, and they went into shell-shocked mode. Game. Over.
- Patrick Sharp really needs to score a goal. Really, really.
- If they win this game they get smoked in Game 3. Now I think they have a shot to win game 3.
- I'm a bit worried about Crawford's psyche after that 3rd period.

I'm rooting for the Habs tonight (God that felt dirty to type.) I don't want a sweep.

Yes, Sharp needs to wake the **** up and contribute.

Not worried at all about Crow as he's shown that he has a very short memory.

Crow is not the problem. This supposed high-powered offense needs to score more than 2 goals. How about we put someone away before an empty-netter?

Anything Habs related must die a slow fiery death. They don't play hockey. They belong with Disney on Ice as they are a bunch of drama queens on ice. Yes I am a Bruins fan and yes I know Marshmont plays the same way and I don't like that he does it either.

I said before game 7 of the B's series and after the Rangers won that if the B's got to play the Rangers, it would be a close 7 game match that the Bruins would win. If they played the Canadian Divers and Drama Queens, the Rangers would kill them. Go Rangers. And I want the Rangers then the Kings then the Blackhawks to win the cup. If none of that happens I want Armageddon.

After that weak non-effort I don't think any team is going to want Vanek. Staple his butt to the end of the bench
