Can't ***** about playing so many games when they control their destiny. Want more rest? Don't take seven games to beat Philly.

Of course - why wouldn't Gabby leave here and shine in the same playoffs in which the local club's marquee is blank?

The Kings and Blackhawks are rough and difficult to play against. They are definitely built for seven game series. The Blues are built that way too, but I think they ran out of gas from playing that way all season.

The Ducks are starting to become another Sharks with the only difference being that they actually have a Cup.

Even NHL players who lose in the second round don't play the muni. They can all afford the CC.

And they are only occasionally in the middle of the fairway. Too used to played the perimeter.

I agree with you here, the Rangers should've taken their chances to go further ahead in both series. I thought it was a telling and frustrating stat cited in Sunday's game that the Rangers have lost their last, like, I don't remember exactly but some large number of games in a row with a lead in a series, which explains why they wear down in the playoffs.

At the same time, I understand AV's gripe. Why so many off days early on in the Philly series, and then so many back-to-backs now? Why have two days off between games 1 and 2 in New York, two days off between games 3 and 4 in Philly, and then back-to-back games in different cities for games 6 and 7 against Philly and again for games 2 and 3 against Pittsburgh?

To put it another way: The Rangers have now played 10 playoff games. Why did the first five span eleven days and the second five span seven days?

(It's a rhetorical question, we all know the answer is "because NBC wanted it that way.")

There were scheduling issues with MSG, too. Something about a Billy Joel concert and some other thing.

Didn't Billy Joel sign some contact where he plays a show at MSG once per month or something for the next ten years? He's essentially a full time tenant there.
