Wow. I listened to that clip and talk about a complete overreaction by anybody who thinks this is a big deal. All he's basically saying is that after what happened in the last game, maybe it would have been better not to have a French referee for that one game. He wasn't generalizing French officials.

Healthy scratch. Very interesting. Don't typically see guys with an "A" being a healthy scratch. A gamble if you ask me.

Im kind of surprised that the NHL wouldn't just have an unofficial internal policy of not having refs work games in their home province/state?

I think there would be a push from officials on that one... They want their friends/family to be able to see them...

Well, when the reports first hit, he also allegedly said he'd have beaten her harder if they were in Russia, because the laws were less strict there. Basically, he was rather brazen about it, not apologetic.

But, as in many domestic cases, nothing came of this case, charges dropped. (insert cliched reason here)

I thought 2 would be fair, but he's Matt Cooke, so then I reconsidered and thought 3 games would be right. NO way should have been longer than Seabrook's. NO way.
