2014 Kendall Classic: UAA, UAF, Wisconsin, Maine.

Re: 2014 Kendall Classic: UAA, UAF, Wisconsin, Maine.

Game 3 preview between the 'Nooks and Maine. Looks like the Black Bears are making a goalie change to Sean Romeo tonight. Peter Krieger played against him in one game last year in the USHL and had 3 points on a goal and two assists in a 4-3 win.

A few line changes for the 'Nooks. Munson, Linnell, & Frye are out and Erickson, Hajdukovich and Peterson are back. I'm told Alec and Josh were both sick yesterday. Davis jones gets the call again tonight.

Wow, never seen such a poorly attended game. Are there 20 people there?

Sounds like we've got an interesting situation regarding referees and video review going on right now.

For all the money we shell out to bring their team here PLUS all the $$$ they'll get to make off of this weekend when they schedule two extra games at home, they got lucky. I think they should be paying us for providing them such novelties as showers! That's a luxury at home for _airbanks folks.

About time Maine got a dose of their own medicine ;)

SEAWOLVES WIN!!!

That was weird game. First off, those two referees have zero testicles, make a call, change your mind, change your mind again? I didn't see Cameron's hit so I got nothing there.

It was nice to see Eaves stomping off mad like a four year old though.

As for UAF winning, I guess defense is more important than scoring goals? Whatevs.

When the refs tried to review the UAA goal, they didn't have video available to them, that's why they spoke to the goal judge. During the time that Eaves threw a hissy fit, they were able to get the video up, and then changed their minds and took away the goal. It took WAY too long to get that all sorted out.

Had UA_ not had an empty net goal against Maine, they would not have won the tourney. I don't like this format, but it is what it is. At least they played two quality teams and came away with two wins. We saw multiple goals scored by our freshmen, and Oliver (as he prefers to be called) is a solid goalie.

I think the important thing to take away is that Mike Eaves stomped off like a four year old. I'm guessing Wisconsin won't be back...

I didn't like how the Badgers didn't remain on the ice for the awards. Unless they had to hurry out to catch their plane, that is really not very classy. I do hope their injured player is okay though.

And the nanooks are WINNERS!!!! Well worth coming down to watch. They played a lot better tonight I thought. Davis Jones with some awesome saves, obvious MVP. Too bad the players didn't have time to stay and receive the trophy.

Glad you had a good time! It was nice seeing the Alaska teams dominate the way they did. I thought coming into the series that this was a tough field, and wasn't sure UAA would come away with any wins. I am feeling very positive about the season ahead.

Does anyone know what happened to the injuried Wisconsin player?

It looked to me like he was knocked out, and there was some blood on the ice, probably from a bloody nose. He went off the ice on his own power. I hope he's okay. I wonder if that hit was payback for Trupper getting his head banged into the glass, that the refs refused to call? That was a pretty bad hit as well.
