In other news. Tyler Morley is notably absent from the lineup and did not travel. Davis Jones is starting in goal for Alaska, Landon Peterson in goal for Wisconsin.

Alaska's lines up over at the blog.

Bucky goes down. First time since 1936 the Badgers have been shutout on opening night. Good run for Davis Jones tonight. Didn't see a lot of shots, but sharp when he did. Blog recap coming soon.

Glad to see you caught a flight down :)

Nooks played well defensively tonight. Wish some of those offensive chances went our way but thankful for Parayko's slap shot of death. Jones definitely moved quickly which we haven't seen in awhile from any of the current goalies. Now, go Maine! But only for tonight!

If by "good" you mean that the puck goes in the net, right as the camera angle switches, then yes, it was good!

Exactly what I expected from the Badgers tonight. Good goal-tending, no offense. I also expect the goal-tending to stay good and the offense to improve as the year goes on. So we are right on plan now.

I want to know who got the contract for those animations. I want them doing everything in the city. Local commercials, political ads, you name it.

Very nice gesture for UAA to pass the hat to collect money for Justin Woods. I believe they collected around $1900. Well done UAA!

I willing to bet it's somebody at the University. The new building came with some new toys to play with (just not ice).

Enjoyed both games. UAF played the best game out of the four teams. Looking forward to how UAA will do against Wisconsin tonight. GO SEAWOLVES!
