There it is. Soon the Road to Ridder is embarked upon.

Have we been introduced to Nina Rodgers yet? Did I miss that?

MBTC thanks you.

Not sure on Rodgers either...

Nina Rodgers has not yet been introduced.

I'm interested to see the chemistry of this year's team. Last year at the start of the year they had that crazy streak going, and were two time defending national champs. They were really attached to the previous years' team. I think t was a bit of an obstacle to establishing their own identity, as great as it all was.

After losing to Clarkson last year, a lot of the attachment is gone. It's time to start it all up again brand new this year. I'm very curious to see how they respond. Hopefully they are as tight and get along as good as ever, and maybe have a little extra intensity and determination, especially with the Frozen Four at Ridder.

Love that they do this every year after the first practice. So creative!

20 girls in the pictures, 21 on the roster. Hard to tell who is who, but guessing the missing GWH'er at the retreat was Rachel Ramsey since I heard her DJ'ing on the radio driving home from the football game yesterday.

Anyone know whether our tickets for the opening weekend get us into the Husky games as well? Although I didn't look that hard, neither school appears to be selling tickets for the 4:00 PM games.

When they have hosted a showcase event like this in the past, it has been considered one session just like the Frozen Four or WCHA Final Face-Off semis. It isn't like the fan bases for all four teams won't fit in the building in the first weekend of October.

Just got notice that media day is Tuesday. We'll see what kind of press coverage the team gets that evening into Wednesday morning.

Be great to hear any thoughts regarding this morning's festivities at Ridder if anyone has the time or inclination. Couldn't get there myself unfortunately.

How the freshmen looked. If the Alums on the ice still got it.

Re: 2014-2015 Minnesota Women's Hockey: The Maroon & Gold Strike Back!

The alums looked rusty and it's hard to say how the freshmen looked. The one player that really stood out was Kate Flug.

Hope I am not too late to be the first one to jump on the Flug bandwagon. Last year we only got to see Kate missing the first month of the season and then playing like someone coming off a knee injury. I think it would be absolutely fabulous if there is an Act 2 starring Kate Flug.

It will be interesting to see Flug's progression the second year from her knee injury. There is a lot of potential there

I have a question for y'all.

I seem to have persuaded my wife that a trip to Ridder is warranted if BC advances to the Frozen Four. Will I have any issue buying tickets the week of the games, if Minnesota is there as well?

I think in 2013 tickets for the Frozen Four sold out in advance and on the day of the Championship game tickets were actually selling for more than face value by scalpers. Am I remembering that correctly?
