2014-2015 Minnesota State University, Mankato Season Thread: Shipping up to Boston?

Re: 2014-2015 Minnesota State University, Mankato Season Thread: Shipping up to Bosto

Lineup for autographs at the end of the game tonight was pretty awesome to see.

Exactly. Let's enjoy this ride, and hopefully we can all rendezvous for beers in Boston.:)

I have had a trip to Boston "penciled in" for over a month. Nothing I would like better would be to change that to ink.

Also impressive, Attendance 4,870. I believe that that is a sellout.

Buy your tickets early for the Tech series.

One thing that has me concerned is the in state recruiting! We have 1 commitment, he is a very good commitment but SCSU has 4 of the 10 finalists for Mr Hockey.

I know they are great at finding players and developing them but do they not have great contacts inside Minnesota?

They are pretty picky actually. They know that the majority of kids in state want to go to Minnesota. They're okay with it. They want kids from all over, and kids that fit their system, but more importantly they'll take higher character guys over slightly higher skilled guys. Hastings is a master at finding talent that fits within his system, and guys that will become family men for the Mavericks.

I am one hundred percent on the same page. Love hearing many people talking loans if that's what it takes to watch the boys out east if they make it.

Do you really think they will sell out for the Tech Series? Now I'm getting concerned I'm better start looking!

Tickets are bought and hotel is reserved.... now both teams need to take care of business in Alaska.... I really want to see Tech battle it out with MSU for a shot at being co-champs of the WCHA!!!! Looking forward to my first trip to Mankato and hopefully these games will be as entertaining as the series in Houghton was with the only change being the Huskies find a way to put in one more goal than the Mavericks each night like MSU did to MTU in Houghton. Any pointers from the MSU fans on where to go after the game and/or any dining establishments that are must stop at??

GO HUSKIES!!!!

For lunch one day get a Pagalai's Pizza. Get the deep dish. Mmmmm.

There are a few bars for before and after.. Blue Bricks, Rounders, Jonny B's, Pub 500, all good choices. The Underground has 2 for 1s from 5-11pm.

Dylan Margonari didn't make the trip to Fairbanks.

I'd expect Friday's lineup to mirror the lineup used against UAA.

Thanks for the update. Rumors floating around last weekend were that he might be done for the season. Forget the hockey implications, I just hope the kid is healthy.

From what I know, he believes he'll play again, and it won't be too long. Curious as to what exactly you heard last weekend..

No one with any inside info. Just student rumors. As bad as the injury looked at the game, I feared the rumors might be right. Glad to hear they're not

Yeah, from what I know as of now, that's not the case. I do know it's an upper body injury and he's doing all he can to rehab it.

Saturday's game will for sure. Friday will be close.

Purchased tickets for Saturday's game against Tech! It still looked like there were plenty of seats left up high and at the ends. Took your word Saturday will be a sell out.

Hope to turn the tide from the last 4 meetings these two teams have had...

They had 4800 in the building last weekend for UAA. MTU should fill the building. Excited to have you should be great weekend. We don't like changing that tide, by the way. :)
