2014-2015 Minnesota State University, Mankato Season Thread: Shipping up to Boston?

Re: 2014-2015 Minnesota State University, Mankato Season Thread: Shipping up to Bosto

Well, the Mavericks took three points at home, and showed me something impressive. They took a definite top 5 team and controlled the game. They took them out of their game and wouldn't let Tech establish tempo for much, if any, sustained time. This team is really good.

Terrific atmosphere and terrific hockey. And then Hastings' speech was the icing on the cake. The Brose moment, as well as giving credit to Jutting, made the evening special and showed what a class act Hastings is. Now, on to the next item of business to take care of.

Is there a vid link of this somewhere, that you can post here?

Omaha fans would be interested in this on a number of levels, obviously.

The games were great, but I felt a little unlucky after the game on Friday. 40+ shots and only one goal!?

That's hockey. When two elite teams are playing, and one has a great goaltender playing lights out, forty saves or more happen.

Friday's game was exciting despite the score. Gervais barely missed and I think a few other chances could have had better placement but when a goalie was playing the way tech's was I'm not sure a perfect shot would have founds it way thru. He was as good as advertised if not better. He stole the point.

this looks like a good spot for my first post ......the games where really nice to see people come out and watch them play i have been a maverick hockey fan for over 20 years and game on saturday was just amazing there. Them tec fans have some class and are real stand up people .....now we just need 2 points

At the least we should see the same lineup as Saturday. Sounds much more optimistic that Teddy Blueger is inserted back into the lineup this week as well.

Be nice to have a full healthy squad though Id much rather keep Teddy out if there is any chance of reinjuring himself. Im interested to see how we come out against Bemidji, if the loss at the North Star Cup fires them up beause we didnt look good that game. As to whether that was Bemidjis fault or our own we shall see this weekend.

MAVS need to come out flying right away, if u get down to Bemidji all they do is clog the middle. I believe the MAVS will take 3 points. Also anybody watching the state Hockey tourney? Watch for the Mills brothers tonight. Also, wait til you see the new facilities!!!

Since your series has zero playoff implications, I want a Mav sweep because 1) it makes Saturday night fun and 2) I hate Bemidji.
