Re: 2014-2015 College Football Thread: A New Era Begins..

ASU lost QB Taylor Kelly in Saturday's win at Colorado with a foot injury (as well as ASU's defensive captain). With the Pac 12 South showdown with UCLA a week and a half away, not a good time for Kelly to go down, though I've seen no word on how long he may be out, but it sounds like he could very well miss the UCLA game, at least.

Who/how is the backup?

Who/how is the backup?
Largely unproven. He's been around a few years, but had only thrown like 24 passes, all in mop up time. I would say people are rather pessimistic if Kelly is out and we have to go with the backup. Kelly really makes the offense click. The burden will really fall on RB D.J. Foster if Kelly misses any games, with ASU rolling into their toughest part of their schedule.

On one hand, though, UCLA is without their starter. On the other hand, their backup just beat Texas.

Good for Rutgers. Rip on those kid rapers as much as possible. Never let them forget what they are.

So what kids did the players, current coaching staff and fans rape?
ONE man raped kids and a half dozen or so others covered it up.
The whole school did not do this.
Blame who was responsible.

The entire student body continues to celebrate the "legacy" of one of those "men" who stood idly by and did nothing to stop Sandusky. They marched on campus last week and demanded his statue be placed back on gratuitous display, and his records be restored, as if nothing ever happened. Until they knock that sh*t off, they're going to get all the mockery they deserve from opposing fans.

The university learned nothing. They deserved the full brunt of the NCAA's authority, and they were lucky to get the comparative slap on the wrist that they did, if only for the sake of their uninvolved athletes.

The University didn't put it back up right?
The students still respect Paterno, that's their right, dumb as others may think it is.
Also, how did the university learn nothing?
I just don't agree with the entire population of that campus, past and present, being stigmatized for the actions of a handful of people.

Is it not the right of the opposing fans and students to mock or stigmatize the entire student population? Dumb as others may think it is, of course.

And the rest of the civilized world can think, nix that, know that the entire penn state community is condoning the rape of a child.

No. No it's not. ;)

:p

Except that they're not. They just want to watch football.

Exactly. I haven't seen one person defend what Sandusky did.
If they want to worship Paterno, honestly who cares.
But apparently, unless they all denounce Penn State and all the students and faculty leave, they condone rape.
So do all Vikings fans condone child abuse if they don't condemn the Vikings?
Are all Ravens fans in support of spousal abuse if they still cheer for their team?
No one involved in it is still there but apparently just being associated with Penn State means you support child rape.

And they get to... including a bowl game courtesy of a weak-kneed NCAA.

Penn State fan hasn't handled this situation very well going back to the protests on campus when this story first broke.
