2014-15 Schedules

Re: 2014-15 Schedules

10-4, they were 18-8 last yr and have 7 or 8 players from the NAHL,beat Buff St 2x last yr and I belive Buff st shut out Oswego:mad:

They also beat Williams in OT. Not sold on a team that was outshot (minus 1 Buff St game that saw 80PIM) by your non mid major conference teams by an average of about 13 shots a game, but JnW is a team to keep an eye on. Only 1 senior from the top 10 in points last year. If they can pull in another decent recruiting class combined with Balmer....who knows....

Either way
x2 SNC
x2 Oswego
x2 Geneseo
x2 Plattsburgh
Norwich
Elmira

6 games against 2013 FF teams....9 against 5 of the top 6 or 7 teams in the Nation.....

For sure, but that's how you've gotta do it if you aspire to bring your program to the national level (as I'm sure you already know.) Smoke and mirror NC scheduling generally won't have you playing into March.

Re: 2014-15 Schedules

A little more respectable. Should be Amherst in the Buck Classic I believe. Add in a Trinity team that lost less than 3% of their offense from last season should be a great match up. Looks like Coach Moff isn't afraid of big games as he replaces Plattsburgh with Utica. Both teams could use that to their advantage. Hamilton and Conn College could be improved.

Re: 2014-15 Schedules

I'm surprised they didn't get DeVry or Bryant and Stratton on the schedule. :D

Looking at the schedule a little more in depth they've improved their KRACH (as useless as it is) by a good margin.

Home and home with Castleton for Brockport home and home
Trinity for Salve
Amherst for Stout (Tournament)
Assume Plattsburgh for Oswego (Tournament) wash

Granted the last two are Tournament picks and they could end up playing New England College, but even taking out the Plattsburgh/Oswego wash, still an improved schedule. Hamilton makes sense. (Not sure what the tie with Conn College is but so be it). They could still work on some more "away" games. The Castleton game is the only scheduled "away" game as of now. Meeting Plattsburgh in the Buck Classic would make it 2. I know I know "the college wants it" ...."the teams want to come here"....then again that's why such a "great" team has as many wins as they do come Tournament time....
