2014-15 Schedules

Prez, that's correct but I believe it's an exception to the 25-game maximum if you're playing against an Olympic team, or a team that is affiliated with USA Hockey and their USNTDP. I saw somewhere on here that Platty is playing a Canadian University or something of that nature, which I'm not sure is the same thing or not. Very confusing to say the least and not much literature to back up any discussion that was happening early in the spring, so I would guess that it didn't get passed.

Last season you couldn't play anything. exhibition, game etc. against another opponent before Nov. 1. I'm 99.9 percent sure that rule was amended stating you could play one exhibition prior to that date now. The rule of no real games before that date though still exists except for this year since Nov. 1st falls on a Saturday, you can play Friday.

Is Norwich allowed to schedule a Canadian U team this fall even if they are not currently on the schedule. I assume games between 10-15 and 10-31 would be fair game. Waiting to see if any D1 transfers show up at Norwich this year because they can make a big difference.

Norwich will be playing before Oct. 31. Look for announcement along with recruiting class in early September.

The Dartmouth and Canadian U games were some of the most exciting games I have seen at Norwich. UQTR plays a little rough but would like to see a rematch.

Re: 2014-15 Schedules

FROM 2013-14 season: The Red Stars are an all-star team of 25 players, ages 17 to 21, from the 64-team junior-level hockey league called the Molodezhnaya Hokkeynaya Liga (MHL). The league is the younger brother and feeder system of the Kontinental Hockey League, which is the primary professional hockey league in Russia and regarded by many to be the second-best league in the world. The MHL, with more than 2,000 players, is in its fifth year of existence and is the first junior hockey league that unites Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Moldova, Hungary and Slovakia. ... This is the fourth North American trip for the Red Stars, but their first visit to Lynah Rink. The game against Cornell will be the fifth and final contest on the tour for the Red Stars, which began with a 5-4 victory Dec. 26 against an all-star team from the Eastern Junior Hockey League. ... The Red Stars then lost Friday at Yale, 6-3, and surrendered five goals in the first period en route to a 9-3 loss Sunday at Harvard. The team dropped a 3-2 decision Tuesday at Colgate, then had a Thursday game at Merrimack canceled due to inclement weather.

Willie - Haven't seen an inkling of Midd's schedule as yet -- no surprise. Have you heard anything about where/if the Holiday Classic will be played this year due to the construction constraints at the Big Dig?

The schedule I got from FOPH (and reflected Middlebury Athletics ) says the holiday classic will be played in Lake Placid. The question I have is will Midd be selling tickets to the games again or letting people in free like last year? The box office doesn't have the season tickets (yet?)
