I'll fill in the conference games, but there are some NC problems. Quinnipiac already has a full complement of opponents (Bentley not being one of them), and Harvard is already playing a conference game on 21 November.

Actually I looked on the spreadsheet and it shows Harvard doesn't play on November 21. You may of gotten it mixed up with Tuesday, November 18. Also I would guess one of Qunnipiac's opponents backed out before they scheduled Bentley.

D'oh, I was looking at Princeton. :o

As for Quinnipiac, I see where my problem is; I had UCONN listed for an extra game.

Ah, the perils of copy/paste. Bentley's schedule can be completed after all.

Re: 2014-15 schedules

For anyone wondering, despite having 33 games that count, BU's schedule is full, because the second game vs. a USA Hockey team counts against the 34.

Although it hasn't been announced, I am going to put UMASS Lowell's games with Michigan and Michigan State in, since it's painstakingly obvious they will do a travel partner setup that weekend.

Re: 2014-15 schedules

why are there schedules being released when you're saying these teams don't have enough games?

Re: 2014-15 schedules

They don't HAVE to have 34 games. But they can have 34 (non-exempt) games. Not everyone can schedule all 34.

Re: 2014-15 schedules

in some cases...because the schedule is complete, even if "short".
BGSU has 36 games (+1 exhibition) but could actually go to 38. Coach is happy with the schedule at 36, no need to add more.

Re: 2014-15 schedules

I think the term "short" would better be served using "available" games up to the maximum allowed, and "short" be used for how many games needed to complete the required minimum. A team is not "short" with a 35 game schedule.

No?

I agree

No?

The required minimum number of games is 20, at least in terms of eligibility for the NCAA postseason.

Re: 2014-15 schedules

Sorry to ask someone to do the work here, but seems difficult to maneuver the spreadsheet on a smart phone.

Looking for two or three non-conference opponent candidates with openings who could possibly play Michigan over the weekends of
Oct 10-11
Nov 7-8
Nov 14-15

Thanks in advance.

Michigan has three NC games to fill, so obviously some of these will be bye weeks. Ferris State is a one night stand and has one extra game, so I'm surprised they don't make a full weekend out of it. Perhaps that third game will be a one-and-done beat-up vs. an Atlantic team. As for the full weekend, perhaps another Hockey East team, like one of the UMASSes, Boston College, Providence, or UVM. Only UML is available on the first weekend mentioned (though you're already playing them the same weekend as Boston University), but all have some time in November, despite that being when league play really goes into full force. ECAC is already pretty much figured out, as are NCHC and WCHA.

Re: 2014-15 schedules

I believe Michigan is coming east to BC for 1 game this fall.

Don't think BC is starting till weekend of Oct 17th right? Assuming that, BC has the 8th, the 14th & 15th open.

Re: 2014-15 schedules

At Northeastern's FOH meeting last night, they reviewed the 2014-15 schedule. All dates listed below are accurate, and the one game the team was short has been added as well. NU will be hosting Yale on January 6 at Matthews.
