If you want to apply...

I'm good with it.

Like I said, it's who many of us wanted two years ago. We'll see what kind of armchair ADs we make.

Pitt hasn't been some world beater so I'm not sure I'd be that excited about the hire yet.

I saw that the CFB Matrix guy said Chryst is the worst new hire among P5 coaches the last couple of years, having underperformed his talent each year.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

I don't think anyone's doing cartwheels down the street.

It's a solid hire that makes sense to people here based on his time here as offensive coordinator and the fact that he's from here, so this may in fact be his destination job.

Like I said, I'm good with it.

Everybody knows Barry is pulling the strings anyway. ;)

Why didn't Alvarez just hire himself as head coach? It's so obvious he still wants to coach. Unless he doesn't want to deal with the time committments and would rather coach a big game every other year while paying himself 100k, which isn't a bad situation either.

He's too busy overseeing the hockey program.

Maybe I missed it, but are we doing a bowl pick 'em this year? Either a Yahoo or the homemade Bow(e)l pick 'em?

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Alvarez says no one's been offered the job. Earliest offer would be Dec. 17th.
