2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Unless you're the hockey coach for life.... :D

Seriously, how happy are you if you're Mike Eaves? There's been a few posts to this effect in the UW hockey thread, but we've all got to imagine that there's no way that the AD wants to go through the process of hunting for a new hockey coach while dealing with this crap. If Alvarez was ever going to consider an in-season change, Eaves just found a month or two stay of execution.

"Hi, [WISCONSIN HC CANDIDATE]. Would you like to be our head coach? If so, your first game is against...

/looks at notes

"…the Alabama. Do you think you can have the team ready by then?"

Jen Bielema's hands are resting on the keyboard. She wants to. She NEEDS to.

Gary Anderson leaves UW for Oregon State.

Alverez must be a massive ******-tard to work for

i was wondering when I was listening on the radio "what the holy hell has gone so wrong in college football that the Oregon St job is better than the Wisconsin job"

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

So does this explain the lack of a viable game plan for the B1G championship game?

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

It's gotta be Paul Chryst, although his pittsburgh team really **** the bed this year down the stretch.

Bevell is a pipe dream with NFL jobs imminent. Pelini? Meh. Schiano? One guy who needs power working for another? Doubtful.

Mark Stoops is an interesting name as well.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

I think that most Badger fans would be really happy with Chryst.

It's who most of us wanted when Andersen was hired.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

No one expected Gary Anderson two years ago, and no one expects Craig Bohl now.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Why is it a surprise someone would pick the state of OR over WI? I'd rather deal with Parisians while being permanently dressed in a, "This screams American" outfit on a daily basis.

Beavers are more fun than BADgers, duh.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Michael Weinreb: So, to summarize, the Big Ten West is composed of:

1. A coach (Tim Beckman) who believes his team was only 10 plays short of defeating Purdue.

2. A coach (Kirk Ferentz) who made approximately $582,142.86 per victory this season.

3. A coach (Pat Fitzgerald) who referred to his own team as “an embarrassment.”

4. A coach (Darrell Hazell) whose team lost by three touchdowns to Central Michigan.

5. A coach (Mike Riley) who is, you know, like, a really great guy.

6. A program bereft of a coach for the second time in three years …

… and Minnesota. Which means a team that hasn’t qualified for the Rose Bowl since the Cuban Missile Crisis is now the most stable and promising program in this whole confab of misfit toys.

Wisconsin won't miss a beat.
