2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

ole miss up 14

if that holds, all you sec haters just need bama to lose to either auburn or mizzou and the sec will be shut out of playoff

There is no way in hell they are shut out.

If Alabama loses, and they reward conference champs like they agreed, they'll be forced to.

Rules were made to be broken. Besides, they shouldn't reward conference champs, they should reward the best teams in the GD nation.

We'd have the BCS right now without the conference champ thing.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

I've never been an FSU fan, but come on let's see them lose first.

Not sure what you're implying here.

Nobody is arguing that they shouldn't be in the playoff (at least not on here). Do I think the Criminoles are a Top 4 team? No. I don't really think they are a top 10 team (if so, just barely). Do I think Crim U should get a shot at defending their national title if they beat Georgia Tech? Definitely. Any team from a power 5 conference that goes undefeated should get a shot. I just don't think the Criminoles will have much success in the playoff. At least...I hope not. No team in the history of college football deserves to lose as badly as that group of criminals does.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

My Top 4:

1) Oregon*
2) That's it. No one else. We're going old school and giving the championship out before bowl season is over. No one else has impressed. Alabama has looked shaky, FSU has been living on borrowed time since last year's national title game. Baylor has played a terrible schedule and should be 12-0, not 11-1. OSU has an awful loss and now a third string QB.

*I reserve the right to amend this vote and give no one a title this year based on the results of the Civil War tonight

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Also, so glad they gave Musburger the call for tonight. Gives it an actual big game feel unlike when Fowler and Herbie are commentating.

laughable to say georgia tech will be first good team fsu plays this year. we've been through it but it's clear fs23 simply has an agenda here. we get it, you don't like the noles. sorry, the criminoles. i don't like them either. yet they keep winning the opponents in front of them.

We just have different definitions of what a "good team" is. We've been through it, but it is clear J.D. has an agenda. We get it, you want an ACC team to be relevant so that it looks good for the conference that your team is in. The Criminoles are a good team...but they haven't played one...yet.

How are Clemson and Louisville not good teams? I think FSU is barely in the top 4, but come on, you're acting like they've played Marshall's schedule.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

again, i hate florida state. has nothing to do with me having a team in the ACC. i just respect the fact the defending champs are undefeated because they get every team's best shot...and they just keep winning.

Maybe Clemson TODAY is a good team. Not when they played Crim U. Stoudt started, our center was a basketcase for the game, and our Kicker had never had to deal with pressure before. If Clemson plays Criminal U today, the Tigers win by 2 touchdowns. Back when they played the Criminoles? The Tigers were simply a decent team with a lot of potential.

Louisville? Louisville??? They lost to Virginia. They nearly lost to Kentucky. They are not a good team.

The Criminoles have played quite a few decent teams and won every single game. They deserve to be in the Playoff. But I really don't believe they've played a truly good team yet.

come on auburn

would like to see both tcu and baylor move into top 4

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

and you can't use the clemson TODAY argument while also throwing out that louisville lost to uva. that was also early in the year. at least be consistent.

Did you miss my point about Louisville TODAY nearly losing to Kentucky? At least read the posts before you complain about them.

Really good game today between Bucky and Goldy.

I believe that the better team won today, but like I've said elsewhere, Goldy is coming on strong and it won't be too much longer before they get one against us. Maybe even next season up there.

Now... Bucky plays next week for the only thing remaining on their schedule that matters this season - the B1G Championship.

Sorry, but since the BCS and even more so now with the final four, I just don't give much of a crap about bowl games. Sure, I'll watch and root and make an evening out of it, but with nothing at stake, it's hard to get too emotionally invested in bowl games - especially when 4 other teams will have a LOT at stake in their next games.

That's why today was fun. Both teams had a lot on the line and both played hard.

The better team did win today. And with JT out....WI has the inside track on the title.

MN failed on the clutch/crucial plays today. That was about the only difference, IMO. Needed a stop? Didn't get it. Needed a big O play? Didn't get it. Those little things were the difference.
