Take off the tinfoil hat, bud. I think almost any team in the tournament would trade places with BC, but there were compelling reasons to put them there. The only reason I could come up with not to put them there was to protect Quinnipiac as the overall #1 seed from playing a top #2 seed.

I know there are other mitigating circumstances that called for their placement in the east. But, it is **** convenient they don't have to go through the toughest conference in college hockey in order to get to the Frozen Four. ;) :p :D

Mitigating circumstances, sure. However, touchy-feely arguments go the other way, too, though -- like having played a RI/NH/MA regional 10 times in the 11 years since the tournament expanded to 16 teams. That seems reason enough to actually put them in their properly-seeded region and have them not within walking distance of their regional for once.

Yup, that's why BC ANNIHILATED both UMD and Minn. last year. Next please.

what dates are these regionals getting played?? I'm kind of hoping that the grand rapids region kicks off on Friday.

They also beat UMD 4-0 in the regionals as well. If the WCHA is as good as many of you think then BC would have to go through 2 of them in the Frozen 4 anyway to win it all.

BC went into that game fully expecting Minny to get revenge. It really wasn't unexpected. We know you were missing World junior players but JG was out as well. The more telling clue to this season is that Canisius had 59:48 straight shutout minutes against Minnesota on Minnesota ice. So worry about them as well as they are vastly improved from that time having finally put together some offense to go with their stingy defense. There are plenty of teams to fear in this tournament be they WCHA or not.
