take off the black and gold glasses mook. that wasn't your typical pick play and not just because someone got hurt. the typical pick play involves much less contact than that and certainly doesnt involve a deliberate block on a corner chasing a different wr before the ball has even been caught. as for picks in general, it's not even close. that honor goes to manning's teams whether it be the colts or the broncos. he is the master of it, not even a close 2nd.

welker turned to protect himself. he said yesterday that he was there to pick and talib didn't budge (he expected, as always, that the db would rub high to avoid contact). welker turned sideways. if he would have dove low and taken out the knee i would see your point. but again he kinda turtled. pick play gone bad.

let's see if bellichea....er "bill", has the competition cmte outlaw the pick for 2014!

Never mind the Pats did the same thing a series earlier and knocked a Denver d.b. out for a series or two (it was on the play that got called back for offensive p.i.)

If welker simply hit harder than the Pats receiver, too farking bad.

mook, you're full of ****. you're the only person i've seen say welker was trying to "protect" himself. nfl safety jim leonhard certainly didn't see it that way.

i am quoting welker himself.

jaws and hoge didn't see a problem with it. they also agreed with me that the patsies do this as well as anyone.

have i seen the pats run pick plays? yep. have i ever seen one with that much direct, intentional illegal contact? nope. let it be clear that i have no idea if the pats would have had a chance with talib. all i'm saying is if you wanna call a soft offensive PI on one team you need to call a blatant one like that. furthermore, i just dont like that the league has no regard for defensive players. i dont want ANY team running plays like that welker one.

lol at using a safety who took liberties on guys coming over the middle and would never, EVER want to be hit in return as a reference. did you expect him to say otherwise?

The real reason the Patriots lost is that they cut Tim Tebow. Once god chose the Broncos you had no chance.
