*sigh* the rings argument. I present exhibit B: Trent Dilfer. He has more rings than Marino and Kelly combined. He must be better, right? :p

Eli throws clutch TD passes in super bowl,romo throws ints in reg season and fumbles games away in playoffs. Has he won a playoff game yet?

The Vikes are paying $3mil to Josh freaking Freeman to be on the team for 12 weeks? Why did they bring Cassel onto the team if they don't trust him that much? Cassel helps lead the Vikes to their first win of the season, while he may not have been stellar, he certain did more than we've seen of Ponder this season. Or is it the queue for Ponder to get his feelers out there to teams looking for a new backup QB next season? No matter which way you slice it, this is a giant cluster**** for the Vikes. The move just makes it look like the front office has QB Controversy on their minds.

At least the fans have some of that drama this year that football's supposed to bring for entertainment.

This has to be the end for Ponder. I'm sure they'll try and trade him for ANYTHING and when no one wants him because he lacks the tools, he'll be cut.

That's the second time you've said that. Do you remember the old addage, "Be careful what you wish for"? Ponder will have a few flashes throughout a season - very few - and the rest of the season will frustrate the hell out of you. The Vikings drafted a second string QB in the first round of the 2011 draft.
