I've come to the conclusion that Pete Carroll is always hammering that gum so as to prevent cocaine induced jaw lock.

Fire Schiano. Trade Freeman for a couple used jockstraps and maybe a broken kicking tee to sweeten the deal. What a let down. This team VERY EASILY could be 3-1 going into a bye week. Instead? 0-4, and not much sign of progress either.

A coworker of mine said it best: "The Seahawks hiring Pete Carroll was the best thing to ever happen for the Pacific Northwest. It made the Seahawks better and USC worse."

So the NFL is considering doing away with a week of meaningless <strike>exhibition</strike> preseason games and to make up for the lost revenue (you didn't think they'd do anything that would reduce revenue, did you? :rolleyes:) adding two more teams to the playoffs. If they're going to 14, why not just go to 16? The byes are now going to be more controversial, because only one team will get them. Also, you face the delicious possibility of some 7-9 regular season team going on a run and winning the SB.

With the interest in playing in London, I still think the answer is to go to 17 games and get rid of teams "selling out" a home game for games in London. This allows each team to play a game somewhere neutral whether its London, Berlin, Toronto, Vancouver, Tokyo, Mexico City, Los Angeles, Happy Valley, Columbus, Norman, Tuscaloosa, etc. Of course the one part I don't really like about this is how to adjust the schedule to deal with this? Maybe you tweak strength of schedule games...change it from the current other two teams in your conference that finished the same place you did last year to one of those and two from the other league?
