2013 Milwaukee Brewers - Cheaters, Underachievers and Disappointments Oh My!

Re: 2013 Milwaukee Brewers - Cheaters, Underachievers and Disappointments Oh My!

Agree...everyone seems to be swinging for the fences, trying too hard, etc.

Lucroy had a hat trick yesterday. Gold star to anyone that can name the last time he did that (I'm guessing never).

Re: 2013 Milwaukee Brewers - Cheaters, Underachievers and Disappointments Oh My!

Segura placed on Bereavement leave.

@Haudricourt: #Brewers on-field woes take on different perspective with news of death of Jean Segura's 9 month old son.

:(

Prayers to Segura, his family, and the Brewers.

Thank You Peralta for showing up today and ending the skid before the all-star break. One game up on the Cardinals st he break. The last two weeks have been brutal but who would have thought they'd be in this spot?

Re: 2013 Milwaukee Brewers - Cheaters, Underachievers and Disappointments Oh My!

Segura is back and will be with the team in DC, per McCalvy on Twitter.

Re: 2013 Milwaukee Brewers - Cheaters, Underachievers and Disappointments Oh My!

Segura is starting tonight.

Who's excited for the second half?!?!? :D (hopefully the Brewers are)

Re: 2013 Milwaukee Brewers - Cheaters, Underachievers and Disappointments Oh My!

Brewers are reportedly interested in Price and Lester.

Brewers might have wanted to score 3 runs then last night as it's getting more and more likely that the Rays won't throw in the towel.

At least if they keep Price, the Cards won't get him.

Re: 2013 Milwaukee Brewers - Cheaters, Underachievers and Disappointments Oh My!

It is even crazier to me now, after the last month, that the Brewers have STILL been in first place every day since April 4th.

Cardinals got whalloped by the Padres last night. Big series this weekend.

Happy Deadline Day! Haven't seen anything new recently. I think Price is staying where he is, though.

Brewers pick up Gerardo Parra for OF Mitch Haniger and LHP Anthony Banda. Nice to get a little more outfield depth. Never underestimate the value of the veteran utility guy. :)

Schafer sent down, Thornburg to 60 day DL.

Maybe he can tell us why Gibson is such a d***.

Well... color me underwhelmed.

Guess we're good to go. Glad we didn't mortgage anything for a starter. Doesn't seem to be our biggest need.

At least we won't have to watch Schaefer scuffle at the plate anymore.

Re: 2013 Milwaukee Brewers - Cheaters, Underachievers and Disappointments Oh My!

If I saw the stat correctly, the Brewers have gone 11-19 since the ASG, yet have not relinquished the top spot in the division.

What a mess the rest of the NL Central is.

The middle reliever issue this past month now worries me. It started as nothing and has now developed into an epidemic. Jeffress... Hasn't been impressive.

Just 23 more days until the roster limit is waived and the Brewers can call up as many players as they need.

11-19 since July 1, but still very sad...I believe they are going for the 2nd series win in the last 10 series with the sweep of the Reds and the split with the Mets the only series they haven't lost in the last 9 series.

And the Brewers win a series! Nice defense and great job by Peralta...He now leads MLB with 14 wins. Great to see someone like him get his opportunity and run with it. He's now won 9 straight when pitching after a Brewer's loss.

And yet, still the second best record in the NL.

Have the Brewers ever not been shutout by a pitcher making his major league debut?

With the announcement of playoff ticket options being announced by the Brewers, I'd just like to say that if they become available like they did last time, whoever posted the link/code last time, please do so again...hopefully this time work will allow me to attend!

The Brewers don't have much of a farm system after the Greinke trade. They didn't really even have the option of making a trade for a starter at the deadline.

Hopefully they can turn things around after that Cubs series, that was pretty ugly for the most part. The offense is gonna need to come up big because they're severely outmatched in terms of pitching (Greinke, Kershaw, Haren ughhhh).
