2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Back when I used to work at the local golf course, a pretty nice course, I would set the pins 1-3 days a week. I would always get to set them on men's league day and for tournaments because I was good at it. My dad and all of his buddies played league each week, so I got plenty of **** for them about pins, but that was fine, because most of the time I would **** with them on purpose. :D

Erin Hills was a helluva lot of fun. I can barely move after that walk, but it was worth it.

Tiger withdrew from the Bridgestone -- he looked like me out there after his off-balance shot on #2.

Woods said the injury came on the second hole, where an awkward lie above a bunker forced Tiger to hit his shot and then fall back in the fairway bunker. It looked harmless at the time, but Woods said in a statement after he left the round that it was a different type of pain and that it was something in his lower back.

"Happened on the second hole when I hit my second shot. I fell back in the bunker ... I just jarred it and it's been spasming ever since," Woods said in a statement.

Does anyone think USA has a chance in the Ryder Cup?

It really doesn't look good. Not only does Europe have "home field advantage," but they also have the better group of players. Throw in the Dustin Johnson fiasco, Tiger being hurt, and Europeans dominating the Tour over the last 3-4 months, and it looks even worse.

That being said, there have been a few Ryder Cups where the roles were reversed and the Euros came up big and won. I don't like our chances, but anything can happen.

Dustin Johnson and Tiger Woods both have losing records in the Ryder Cup. Don't forget, much of Tiger's play in the Ryder Cup was when he was dominating golf in general.

I think having both those guys eliminated will only help the U.S.

Having those two on the team to sleep with Internationals' wives might cause some useful tension, though.

Just an incredible, bizarre finish to the PGA Championship. Rory wins The Open, WGC and the Wanamaker on consecutive weekends.

Re: 2013 Golf Season - Does it leave you scratching?

Rory has found his stride. I would think that domination is coming. Rory slam?

If my data is correct, Phil Mickelson is now third with most second-place finishes at majors with 9.

Jack Nicklaus has a ridiculous 19 (!) second-place finishes at majors.

Arnold Palmer has 10

Greg Norman, Sam Snead, Tom Watson, have 8.
