Jerry Kill suffers seizure, won't coach the game.

He's just gotta hang it up at some point..I don't want him to admit defeat to epilepsy, but as the head coach of a Big Ten football program, at some point, no matter how seamless a transition is without you there, enough is enough.

Gameday is in Seattle. Saw a sign that said:
7,253
Uniform Combinations
0
National Championships

Well. Baylor's streak of games with 70+ points will end at 3. If they had scored 70 today they would have tied the record of 4 straight 70+ point games set by.....Yale. In 1886.

(Yale outscored their opponents 687-4 that season. One game was 136-0. They would play in the "national championship" against Princeton which ended in a 0-0 tie when a substitute ref called the game due to darkness...despite Yale leading 4-0 at the time.)

That substitute ref is now supervisor of officials in the SEC.

Well you lose when you play like crap for half of the game. But we did this last year and still won the Rose Bowl, so take it one game at a time.

National Titles > Rose Bowls

I do get your point, but I truly thought if Stanford could get through the Pac 12, they'd be playing for a BCS title. I was thinking that would be Cardinal fans goal for this season, no?

When's the last time College Gameday has been to the same spot in the same year?

Looks like several times. 2007 may have been the last time if I am not missing any (LSU and Oregon both had it twice). Ohio State has had it twice in the same year 3 times (02, 03, and 06) and has hosted it 13 times, most among any school (Florida and Michigan being the only other schools to host it 10+ times).

Well yeah that's what we wanted going into the season, but woulda coulda shoulda. While we did the Rose Bowl thing last year, it's still a pretty nice consolation if we're willing to get back on track and try to win out. Hell, you never know if a one-loss team may sneak in, though I guess that's only the case if you're from the SEC. But this team was 1-11 seven years ago, so I'm not too spoiled that I'll poo-poo a Rose Bowl berth.

I suppose so.. I mean, in 2010 it was national title or bust for us.. 7-5 season that year, I would've loved a trip to Pasadena as a consolation. In the same respect though, I think Stanford is a little bit more elite as a program than Iowa was at the beginning of 2010.
