Exactly.

Matt Shepherd had a great op piece on his blog yesterday, hit all the factoids.

Even Terry Foster had a good nugget: The reason he is popping off is because the Lions are in Chicago's head, not the other way around. No asterisks either for the Bears injuries. Everyone has them.

Now, Chicago can point to the all time record (+29 in their favor) including the recent history (something like 6-15 vs. the Bears since 2000) but we'll live in the present. :)

I guess he thought that since it worked for the Spartans on Saturday, then it should work for us on Sunday.

Win the division: chocolate sheet cake.
Deep playoff run: A better cake.
Win the Super Bowl (unlikely): Unbridled gluttony. There will be a feast.

My guess is they thought they were gonna walk into Pittsburgh and win before they kicked off, which is why they were doing the happy dance in the hallway outside the locker room before the game and had their boombox unplugged.

Mailed in the 2nd half, gave up a 97 yard drive, etc etc. I wouldn't pin the loss JUST on this one bonehead move, but it ranks up there.
