I never thought that I'd see a report of a tornado/funnel cloud in Hockey Valley, but yesterday's storm produced one. The video was shot by Garrett Bastardi, son of weather expert Joe Bastardi.

mookie never thought that a dude named bastardi would have a father :D

Now Hurricane Humberto...first of the season. Missed setting the record by 3 hours according to Jim Cantore.

From Jeff Master's blog on wunderground.com, "Humberto is listed in NHC's preliminary Best-Track data repository as having achieved hurricane strength at 8 am EDT on September 11, which would tie it with Hurricane Gustav of 2002 for the latest appearance of the season's first hurricane, since 1941."
