2013 Atlantic Hurricane Season: Non-Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Re: 2013 Atlantic Hurricane Season: Non-Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Does this mean gas is gonna go up another 50 cents?

Not a hurricane, but the Weather Channel is in Armageddon mode.

The bulk of one hell of a storm should go just south of here. I mean, about 30 miles or so. This thing's coming to eat.

We're still going to get pounded at about 1-1:30 AM.

My home county in Indiana is under a torndao warning right now. Dont think it has acutally hit yet as a buddy there says things arent too bad right now.

Hope it stays that way. But it looks like a good squall line is forming along a line from just inside Ohio over to Western Indiana. And pretty much the entire length of said line is under a T-Storm warning or Tornado warning.

That's what they're saying Hammer. Just a nice gentle soaker right now. Think they've adjusted their forecast to say that the really big worry in this mess will be a big risk of flooding in spots.

When I look at the projected radar, there's an awful lot of yellow and red on the way. It should die down by about 3-3:30.

I wouldn't want to be about 50 miles south of here, though.

Yep, Toledo is going to get hit hard it looks like, probably even Bowling Green as well.

business just picked up here. raining a lot harder and getting a good dose of lighting as well.

Glad I'm not in northern OH right now. Their part of this storm has morphed into a bow-echo.

Two reported tornadoes missed me by a few miles, but no power for a while. I think that whole house generator looks better and better.

EDIT: Power lost from 4 - 7. Not bad for PEPCO.

glug, gurgle, glug.

While we have had individual storms dump more rain than any one storm has delivered lately, I don't think I've ever seen so much cumulative rain over a two-week period ever.

I had emptied one of those big buckets of drywall mud (the 61.7 pound size) and left it outside. It is full of water now. that is a lot of rain to fill one of those suckers.

I never thought that I'd see a report of a tornado/funnel cloud in Hockey Valley, but yesterday's storm produced one. The video was shot by Garrett Bastardi, son of weather expert Joe Bastardi.
