Good Luck Union. You have got a helluva team.

No matter what the outcome, Union has a lot to be proud of.

But, I sure hope you win. It couldn't be more easy to root for you guys, a D-3, Academically Oriented school with a very balanced and complete D-1 hockey team against what is easily one of the most arrogant and obnoxious programs / fan bases in college sports. Memories of the wanton classlessness following the SLU-BC semi-final in 2000 prevent me from ever wanting to see them win again.

As I said, however, regardless of the result, what Union has been able to do and the success they have had over the last four years is incredible. Credit Nate Leaman, Rick Bennett and all the guys on the ice for an outstanding run...that hopefully keeps going strong for at least two more games.

another blowhard heard from. but by all means, keep referring to when your feelings were hurt 14 years ago. are some of the fans obnoxious/arrogant? yep. but you can't say the same about the "program".

If you have the time you definately want to tour the Philadelphia Navy Yard, especially if you have kids. There are several Aegis Class Cruisers in dock. Its very impressive and right next door (5 minute walk) to the Sports Complex and the Wells Fargo Center. Your not going to want to miss this. See everyone at the pre-game at 2:30pm.

Let's see, this is someone representing the #41 ranked Union College in National liberal arts schools, in the US News & World rankings, commenting on the #31 ranked National University. The University rankings include all the Ivies, Stanford, etc, a much more elite grouping. Nothing sadder than blind arrogance.

Located about as far away from Boston as a school could be while still having the word Boston in its title, BC is known for unattractive women, effeminate men, and a second-rate faculty. They're also known to advertise their football program up and down Massachusetts and Commonwealth Avenues because they can't fill their 45,000 seat stadium. By all measures, Boston College sucks.

God, you really are stupid. My feelings weren't hurt. No, my program is about like Union, or BU, or UNH, or Maine, a lot of really loyal fans who enjoy the team and the program. BC is the one program in the northeast where just about every fan woofs, and chirps and in your case can't even fathom a player getting passed over on the hobey because no one else deserves support. BC fans don't even seem to get how annoying and arrogant they are.

I sometimes wonder if some obnoxious BC fans know how close they came to getting their heads knocked off when they were taunting the head coaches wife and kids after they won with a EN 2-goal margin with a former captain who could have crushed them like a bag of chips ready to go until he was restrained. One would think if BC won they would garner support from the other eastern schools. I am pulling for Union, UND, Minny in that order and not only hoping BC loses but they lose bad. Whether they do or don't, you'll have nothing to do with it but I'm sure you'll be antagonizing people on USCHO as though you have nothing else to do with your little mind and even littler dick.

Just to be clear, his feelings weren't hurt, and he didn't go on to whine about that game from 14 years ago for another paragraph and a half. That's all in your head.

Ha! US News and World report rankings mean nothing. When I was at St George's applying to colleges everyone laughed at their acceptance letter from BC. It's a fact, BC is and always will be a safety school. Deal with it...
