Seven actually, got a couple D moving further back. Makes for great small area games.

If you look at the stats, you'll see that Gilligan established herself as the #1 tender, and from December on, played the lion's share of games. Moe Bradley is a walk-on, who was never expected to see more than limited action. At the beginning of the season, when the goaltending job was up for grabs, was when you saw a lot more of every goaltender.I haven't followed New Hampshire at all this season but just looked at their statistics after reading this. How (and why) in the world do you end up with 4 goalies that are all either freshman or sophomores and play them all in at least a couple of games!!!???? And then recruit a fifth goalie for next season (BTW- have seen Wilkes play at NAHA and she is solid - have been wondering why she wasn't committed anywhere)? This is like a MA town youth hockey mentality at the squirt level ..... everyone plays.... not a Division 1 approach.

Be very surprised if anyone other than Wilkes emerges as the #1 goalie next season. Gilligan is talented but needs to find some consistency. Wilkes seems to be the real deal.
The consistency needs to come from the the five out in front on any shift more than from Miss Gilligan. Too many times she got hung out to dry.Be very surprised if anyone other than Wilkes emerges as the #1 goalie next season. Gilligan is talented but needs to find some consistency. Wilkes Naha 2011-2012 GAA 3,82 SV% 81,9 / last two games GAA 4 SV%77,8 (2.2.2013) , GAA 2 SV% 88,9 (this game number two seat 3.2.2013)
NAHA this year is very good this year only one t game.
The Pelkey years were probably the best teams I have seen there.....
I watched her play a limited number of games the year before last and at that point would not have pegged her to start as a freshman. NAHA has almost no goaltender instruction so it is not uncommon to see limited improvement in fundamentals year to year.
Talk about an ignorant post by someone that clearly knows nothing about the goalie coach at NAHA. Cap Raeder is on the ice every week with dedicated goalie sessions with the NAHA goalies. If you don't know who he is here is a link to some information about Cap, http://ingoalmag.com/interviews/cap-raeder-goaltending-coach-of-the-tampa-bay-lightning/. Wilkes was also voted first team JWHL goalie this year. Which is selected by the coaches of every team. SIMPLY INACCURATE.... Wilkes will prove to be the best goalie on UNH next year and there is no doubt that they need improvement in that category.
Not wading in to the discussion about Wilkes as time will answer that question. However, (and I may be mistaken, so correct me if I'm wrong), I do believe that GoalieDad35 had a daughter who was a goalie at NAHA prior to going off to college in the last few years. So he should know something about the quality of goaltending coaching there at least while his daughter was there (perhaps Raeder is a new add).
Wilkes started on NAHA's U16 team last year and was so good that she earned a spot on the U19 team for playoffs and ended up beating out two Sr's at NAHA and playing in the JWHL championship game(and winning), because she was the best goalie. Goaliedad35 had a daughter at NAHA who was beaten out by Wilkes to play in the championship, sounds like sour grapes to me. Cap Raeder has been at NAHA since 2010 season and is not a new addition. Just because Goaliedad35 had a daughter at NAHA doesn't mean he knows anything about hockey....
