Had me worried there for a while! Good to see BU picking up a goalie recruit though since our starter will be a senior next season. Anyone have any insight on Ms. Hanson?

USA Hockey Strelow Camp goalie this year. Saw her play for Spitfires and she was very strong in that game. Lawrence Academy having a good year to date and have heard it is based on her play (they only have 10 skaters and she is seeing a lot of shots in the latter parts of games). Have heard from others she has been shafted in the past by Mass Hockey/USA Hockey in the National Development Camp process because of politics (she doesn't play for Assabet).

Never heard of her...and the Mass goalie [Crawford] at Nat 17 camp most def does not play for Asssbett. Facts would be nice.

You're right - facts are nice. And the fact is that Kelcey Crawford (a very good goalie who plays for the Wizards/Proctor Academy) is from the New England District, not the Mass District. Another fact is that Hansen is a 94 and Crawford is a 95 and they wouldn't have competed against each other for a spot. Check your own "facts" before taking shots at other peoples.

An honest mistake since she plays for a Mass club and attends school there too. As for your "facts" perhaps you need to learn a few...the most obvious being that no District [Mass included] is guaranteed any goalie 'slots' at U16 or U17. The second point is that the District has nothing to do with who is selected. It is a USA Hockey controlled selection process...not run by Assabett last I checked. :rolleyes:
