2013-14 Quinnipiac Bobcats Part II: The final push towards Philadelphia

Re: 2013-14 Quinnipiac Bobcats Part II: The final push towards Philadelphia

Finish the regular season 7th in the Parwise.

Good wins: Lowell (2), Union, Cornell, Colgate, Yale, Ties with Providence and Yale
Bad losses: Princeton, Merrimack, Brown, St. Lawrence

Winning the ECAC tournament possibly could vault us to a #1 depending on if they can win the title over Union going through some of the top teams in Colgate, Cornell and Yale.

Making Lake Placid should get them a #2 seed.

Losing in the quarterfinals likely will bump them to a #3 seed.

Sounds about right. Should make for a fun tournament...

(Please don't let them play Yale in the Quarterfinals. I just don't think I could handle that.)

This would be amazing.

Doubt it happens. Can't remember the chalk holding serve in the first round since we joined ECAC. Certainly not the first year.

Also, where was our most essential player, JST last night? Given a rest or aggravated injury?

Re: 2013-14 Quinnipiac Bobcats Part II: The final push towards Philadelphia

Why hasn't Q offered tickets for all three playoff games? Is game three sold out, or do they wait to see if there is a need for the game first?

Down the street they sell all three games and then make refunds if Game Three is not played. Just wondering.

My thought is rest. He probably could have played but with the bye locked up why take the chance against the same team he was hurt against. Also the game in Hamden vs Clarkson was very chippy.

Tickets went on sale Friday as far as I know. I would imagine that series is, or will soon be, sold out (even though the opponent is not yet known).

I bought tickets for the first two games today, was game three ever offered?

Quinnipiac commit Keith Petruzzelli, a '99 freshman, is starting in goal for Springfield Cathedral. Senior Tucker Kelly gets nod for Duxbury

This is over the senior goalie who had a solid season himself. Shows the confidence they have in Petruzzelli to start him in the first game of the Super 8 tournament.

Couldn't tell ya... maybe they won't sell them unless a 3rd game is needed. I'm really not sure how they do it.

Had great time at quinnipiac! Thank you to the coaching staff!! Way to get the W!

Looks like he took a recruiting visit to Quinnipiac last month. Also recently took a visit to Merrimack this past weekend. He is a 1998 birthday. His brother is committed to Merrimack for 2016 so the Warriors have that in their favor. I have no idea how good he is.

Logan is better than Tyler. The dad (Scott) played at UMass Lowell after transferring from Maine after freshman season.

Matthew Peca named ECAC player of the week.
