We were great in the 1st but came out flat in the 2nd. Found it again midway through and I thought we carried the 3rd. Some rough edges but overall a good effort. It's a win but something tells me Rand won't be too happy.
I have to say this is the 1st time I can remember Chip MacDonald calling a pro-Q game. Lynch was inconsistent all night but Chip was fair. A few questionable calls and the no-goal ruling was absurd. The refs sucked again tonight.
It was for sure. A huge 2 points.Good win tonight over Clarkson.
Clarkson started using their size advantage in a bad way. We took a few liberties of our own as well. Could have been much worse but I think the refs kept a close eye on things.Game was very chippy with lots of penalties.
And I believe last night was his 700th game at QU.With tonight's 20th win on the season this becomes Rand Pecknold's 13th 20 win season in his 20 years as the head coach at Quinnipiac and only now 13 wins away from 400 career wins.
He's quietly having a great season. Many of us thought he would be better, but he has come into his own lately. Gutsy little guy who's not afraid to mix it up, and usually shows a lot of hustle.Travis St. Denis quietly had a great 4 point night. Rand has always spoken highly of St. Denis.
Didn't play well enough to win regardless of that awful interference call. The last 3 penalties show that the refs knew they made the wrong call and tried to make up for it but once again we didn't play well enough. On to the whale Friday. See everyone there
Absolutely the calls were bad. But they were bad because they knew they screwed up. You guys made the most we didn't. We were outplayed no doubtWell, to be fair, the calls at the end of the game were pretty bad as well. We capitalized on our lucky break and Quinnipiac didn't. Those are the breaks in this game. Regardless, should be a fun rematch in Canton in a few weeks![]()

So, apparently, when you get interfered with, they just send you to the box?
Is this a new hockey rule I haven't heard about yet?
That's not why they lost, though. Four posts hit, I think it was. Hockey happens.
I am starting to get concerned with the up-and-down nature of this team. Too hot and cold. So much potential, but they'll never reach it playing this way. Need to up the energy level, bigtime.[/QUOUTE]
Give me a break. Your guys pick all over the place. Right before that call there was a very blatant interference on the SLU blueline where your guy checked our defensemen 20 feet away from the play. You guys pick more than Cornell which is hard to fathom.
Obviously, you don't practice what you always claim Joe Marsh preached. You won, show some class.Sorry, your coach is really someone I could never root for....he is a serious tool.
