The Renouf twins played last night, a 5-3 win for their team
Jonah had 3 assists while Nathan had 1 goal and 1 assist.
Scott Davidson also scored a goal for the Trail Smoke Eaters last night.

That team has an incredible history. They were an amateur senior men's team until 1987. Won the World Championships in 1939 and 1961.

Article on the Petruzzelli's brother who also took visits to Boston University, UMass Amherst and UConn. Quinnipiac was there first choice from the beginning.

Game day in Hartford!
It's been way too long so I'm excited to see them back on the ice. Hopefully there's no holiday hangover and they're ready to play. A bit of a slide to end the first half can be rectified with a good showing today and tomorrow.

Another 1st for QU hockey? A shootout win over UMass. While the game should have ended in overtime on the overturned goal, it easily could have been won in regulation. Plenty of chances to seal it but couldn't convert.
They played well most of the night but a couple of missed clears in front left Garteig out to dry. A couple of missed open nets by us didn't help. UMass was much better today than they were back in November. There were signs of rust on both sides but everyone seemed to play through it.
Patiently waiting to see who we'll face tomorrow night as we try to make it 2-0 in this UConn tourney.
For what it's worth, whoever thought playing this at the XL was a good idea is an idiot. The place was empty and dead with a predominantly QU crowd. I commented that every time they flashed "Noise" on the scoreboard the place fell silent. We ended up leaving just before the start of game 2 so I can't say what the UConn-SHU crowd was like but I can't imagine it being any better. I doubt tomorrow will see many more people in the seats. I sure hope UConn can put more people in that building next year when they join HE.

The boys simply cannot take SHU lightly. Remember they blanked UML to start the season.

Well now that the Patriots are officially playing January 11th that cancels my trip to Hamden for the RPI game. That's a disappointment as I really wanted to see the RPI game this year.
