Especially since Poile is team USA GM too and I hear there is some sort of event coming up soon for that group...

Miller, IMO is only a slight upgrade over Halak. The Blues are obviously thinking that either Elliott will push him, or vice versa.

Ott adds more stupidity than he's worth in grit. Stewart is, at worst, the same guy. At best, he rediscovers his offensive upside now that he's out of Hitchcock's smothering trap system. Giving up the picks is the only thing that makes this deal potentially bad for St. Louis, but it's not like it would go down in the annals of "stupid NHL trade" history.

Don't forget the Blues still have their future franchise goaltender Jake Allen sitting patiently in the minors.

Blues already ****ed off Ben Bishop by jerking him around for years, I don't think they would repeat that with Allen.

The Wild desperately need a goalie. Next on the wish list would be a defenseman and maybe a decent forward. Tyler Myers and Thomas Vanek come on down! :)

Barring any last minute efforts at reconciling, it's appears LaFontaine days with #Sabres is over. One source described situation as "ugly"

Gonna be a snowy night here in Chicago... This will look pretty, but will probably make for very crappy hockey :mad:
