"every coach" you are an idiot and BU fanboys like you are the reason BU fans get laughed at by the rest of the college hockey. Parker is and has been a disgrace to the BU shield for a decade now and the embarassment will continue until he is gone. I do salute the remaining players however.

And obviously you speak for the 'rest of college hockey'. Parker coached the team that finished the season. So, yes, he gets credit in my book for keeping together what was left of the team. As for me being an idiot, i don't know who you are, and I really don't care, but I'm sure you'll find your way to troll over to the BU thread where somebody will listen to your insults.
You after all, speak for the REST OF COLLEGE HOCKEY. Clown!

It should be a great matchup...I'm expecting a game similar to the Saturday night at Mariucci or Friday Night at the Ralph...tight, low scoring game. That being said, Minnesota is the favorite. Hopefully the Sioux are able to play well and let the cards fall where they may. If North Dakota wants to win, they will need to play significantly better than they did this afternoon.

I agree. Our powerplay looked pretty weak again, and the Minnesota games frequently turn on special teams play. I suppose given the fact that we've ended Minnesota's season 3 times during the past 7 years without having the favor returned, our comeuppance is due.

I only wish it were that simple. ;) While there is a part of me that thinks the Gophers will be fired up and take it to UND, the Minnesota sports fan in me reminds that part to s t f u and let the game play. :D

UND looked actually a bit nervous to me today but they won't be tomorrow - they know they can play with the Gophers, will have fan support and will want to prove that last weekend wasn't a fluke.

Should be a grandaddy of em all.

Wow FS23 no snow in the valley thus winter yet you are sandbagging anyhow. The Whioux are the #1 seed and the underdogs in tomorrows game. Oh yeah I forgot injuries lack of scoring punch and 12 goons. Did you watch the same game I did last Friday?

Home ice = familiarity. MN has hardly played at the X in the last four years, and the ice sheet isn't the same dimensions as what they have at Mariucci (this makes a significant difference). Last week's game against UND was the first time they played a game there since '09's play-in game against UMD.

The advantages of lack of travel and favorable crowd are far more noticeable against a team like BU than a team like UND. UND is just a 4 1/2 hour bus ride from here, and they have lots of fans in the twin cities who show up for the games. Tomorrow's crowd will be fairly evenly split between the two sides I imagine.

UND is also still getting used to their new uniforms. If the Gophers don't win tomorrow with their home ice, crowd support, health, better goaltending, better defense, better offense, better PP, better PK, and non-uniform issues it will be a massive upset.

UND is the #4 overall seed, and MN is #8; UND destroyed MN a week ago in the same building en route to winning the WCHA playoff title. UND by definition is favored to win tomorrow afternoon - if they fail to do so by at least 3 goals, it is a colossal failure and embarrassment.

Got to love that all the Whioux fans are calling us the favorite.... to a #1 seed that soundly beat us last week. Sounds like a major CYA move to me so they can talk smack no matter what happens.

I heard that some of the und crowd is making a run over to Menard's, they want to try out the paint thinner because they heard that it makes dead deer look cute, and just think what it will do for the sheep back home. so, the und fans will be fighing over paint thinner, dead deer, and sheep.
