2012 Presidential Election Part III: October Surprise!

Re: 2012 Presidential Election Part III: October Surprise!

No worries here Opie. Just make sure you're around to face the music when Mittens gets squashed come election day. While you may not realize now that you and your ilk are dinosaurs heading for the same fate (extinction) I'm guessing it'll be clear even for you soon enough. If not, I'll be happy to remind you, often. ;)

From the mother of the Navy Seal killed in the Libya attack:

The mother of a Navy SEAL killed in the attack on a U.S. consulate in Libya told WHDH-TV that she thought Mitt Romney was using her son's death for political advantage.

Said Barbara Doherty: "I don't trust Romney. He shouldn't make my son's death part of his political agenda. It's wrong to use these brave young men, who wanted freedom for all, to degrade Obama."

Mrs. Doherty is entitled to her opinon, as is his widow, who is thrilled Romney's mentioning her husband's story in his stump speech. Nevertheless Romney says he'll drop mentions of Doherty from his speeches (the b*stard!). And really, with all the ball spiking His Islamistness has been doing over the killing of Bin Laden, you ought to avoid criticism of anybody using anything for "political advantage." The members of SEAL Team 6 (what the h*ll do they know?) aren't exactly choked up by His Panderness prancing around as if he were Hasso von Manteuffel.

I have no idea why they believe that. Quite frankly, the only data I trust regarding employment is the data that is constitutionally required to be taken of each person in the country. That's right, the census.
Why do you believe the census? That information is incomplete, and so it is inaccurate.

Either romney never took an Econ class or you fiscal conservatives need to never vote for this guy. The only one on this thread who wont of course is Flag...the Old Cranky ******** who are on my block list and their ilk are willing to ignore all math to elect Senior Spray Tan :)

Man I cant wait not to vote for either of these clowns :D

Re: 2012 Presidential Election Part III: October Surprise!

Let's go to the videotape, and Obama campaign poobah Stephanie Cutter saying: "Okay, it won't be near 5 trillion dollars (which would seem to rule out Rover's "4.8" trillion). Sort of like deliberately confusing the difference between "net" and "gross." Tell me again, who's the liar?

I don't have a horse in this race, but citing Stewart as a solid academic source with economic credentials is a joke. I think the guy's hilarious, and has moments where he makes a salient point, but when it comes to bashing conservatives he preaches to the choir, and doesn't have to do serious research to be funny (the jokes write themselves). I agree Romney's economic plan is ambiguous and suspect, but it's not like Obama's is any more substantial or believable.

1. I'm not surprised that you look to the Comedy Channel for political guidance. Me? I get my knowledge from TCM and old Abbot and Costello flicks. They're truly classic. Jon S. Liebowitz is just the flavor of the month.

2. Please be telling the truth about not voting, ever. Please.

....
"Considering?" Now that's total horse sh*t, and you know it. What you mean to say is that you're considering not voting at all (and I have my doubts about that). Because you certainly can't expect anyone here to believe you're "considering" voting for the guy you criticize here relentlessly, day after day. I mean, we may be crazy, but we're not stupid.

There are other candidates. When you find current Republicans to support dispicable policies and beliefs, but your not impressed with Obama and Dems, you really have to consider the others.

Okay, yer outta here. We've told you about that stuff. In the past, did people actually admit publicly that they got political insight from Mort Sahl, Shecky Green, Myron Cohen, Shelly Berman, Jackie Mason, Stan Laurel, Red Skelton, Fatty Arbuckle, Jackie Gleason, Milton Bearle, The Marx Brothers, Sam Kinison, et al? For those too young to remember, Mort Sahl was the pet funnyman in the Kennedy administration, 'till he cracked too wise about them once too often and they 86ed him.

When "JFK" came out he had a great line. He said: (paraphrasing) "I've got good news and bad news. The good news is a new movie's gonna tell the whole story about World War II. The bad news is Kevin Costner's gonna play Hitler."

Not interested in throwing away my vote, thanks just the same. Is Roseanne still in the race?

Didn't Bud and Lou have that classic routine that proved that 7 times 13 equalled 28?:)

When it comes to political advice, you can do a lot worse than listening to Groucho! "Whatever it is-I'm against it!"

Then the candles started moving on their own and Lou tries to yell "Hey Abbott," but nothing comes out.

"Niagara Falls? Slowly I turned. . .step by step. . inch by inch"

What a weird election....Obama supporters posting twitter messages, bragging about how they urinate on Romney - Ryan lawn signs....

http://twitchy.com/2012/10/07/unhinged-liberals-urinate-on-romney-ryan-yard-signs/

At the risk of showing my age (what, again?) in the '60 campaign Kennedy's Catholicism was an issue for some people and more than once, I got quarters in change with Washington's head painted with a beanie in red nail polish to make him look like a Cardinal. Hey, no computers, they were doing the best they could.

Overturning Roe v Wade would not ban abortion. It would place the matter strictly with the states, where such a matter belongs. Some states like Utah and Alabama might completely ban it, others like California and New York won't change one thing about their current laws. That's the way it should be in this country.

We were moving in exactly that direction when SCOTUS began getting "emanations from the penumbra."

Who said it was? I said I am not voting for either guy but just because Stewart is a liberal doesnt make his bashing of Mitt's bs any less true. Fact is Mitt couldnt find the truth if was taped to a thousand dollar bill and stapled to his head. The guy is a bag of air.

Of course I am not using this as an academic source anyways seeing as last time I checked USCHO is not a college course and I am not writing my thesis.

edit: For the love of god will people stop quoting the Old McCarthy please...what is the point of the ignore feature if everyone is just gonna quote his bile filled tripe anyways? The guy is not worth the eye strain and headaches I get trying to decipher his senile ramblings :D Thank you ;)

In light of this statement I'm going to quote him constantly now just to mock the fact you actually care enough about something or another to slap someone on ignore. :D

;) :D :) :o :p

You're not going to get any smarter watching "Dog the Bounty Hunter." My posts, on the other hand, are less filling and taste great. Ironically, I met Tailgunner Joe when I was about 9, which I'm sure you'll construe as some sort of original sin. Your thirst for knowledge is really underwhelming.
