Imagine if the preachers in the 60's were silent on what was going on in the South because of the tax laws? Would you be calling down the wrath of the IRS upon them?
Depends - See Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He paid rather dearly for speaking out against the administration.Because staying out of politics is a requirement for them to be tax exempt? Which is just fine until they get that law changed, right?
