Re: 2012 NFL Season

Aww, can't we keep the replacements in just for Saints@Packers? We paid for blood!

I want to see both teams go maximum trolling that game. I want illegal plays, kneel down protests, everything. Let's see someone bust out the fumblerooski and give the potato refs an aneurysm.

Because you're not news until these guys get a hold of you (some NSFW stuff:)

Seeing stuff on Twitter that a deal is done, and regulars will be back Thursday.

How soon until we complain about the regular refs? :D

Re: 2012 NFL Season

I, for one, will be sad to see the replacement refs go. I'm not a huge fan of the NFL. I think it's boring and has little character. The replacement refs gave the NFL some character.

So much this.

"Character"?

If you want to throw the rules out the window and revel in chaos and stupidity, go watch reality shows. Sports without rules that matter (because of people who aren't able or interested to bother with them) aren't about the competition, but the lowest common denominator. If that's your thing, go watch wrestling. Or the NBA.

The normal NFL refs will still miss calls on occasion. They'll still be a little trigger happy on calls that screw with the flow of the game. But they're actually better than any other alternative and don't turn the game into a side show. I don't care if its pretentious to talk about the integrity of the game, but without that, I don't see why I should bother taking it seriously.
