2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Well, that was a lovely performance. Glad I found out about it this morning, instead of sitting and watching that BS last night.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Okay all you baseball fans. It's time for you to MAKE THE CALL!! Here's a little something from yesterday's Colorado Rockies-Los Angeles Dodgers game, played at Coors Field, in which the Rockies won 8-5 on a three run, pinch hit homer, in the bottom of the ninth, by Jason Giambi. Here's a picture of a proverbial "bang-bang" play at first base.

Go ahead and make your own call, but before you do it's clear as can be that the runner was out by a mle. Not even close. He's got no case. End of story, period.

And with any luck Tim Welke will be reffing a few of your favorite team's home college hockey games next season.

It's the old 'neighborhood' play! :D

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Since the FSN girls were introduced, the Vikings finished 30th, the Twins finished 30th, the Wild had a historic collapse, and every Timberwolf got hurt. I blame Paige and Jenny.
Aren't they already running ads attempting to recruit new ones? Maybe tDon's daughter wants to come back and work for the network.

Paige and Jenny, huh? We got Allison and Lauren (and an epic photobomb at Yost that I'll have to find). Then came Megan, who is okay but she's got choppers big enough to make Mr. Ed blush.

Please post the photobomb :D

Jenny has the same kind of choppers.

Well it looks like the Sean Burroughs era is over. He joins such excellent free agent signings over the last decade as Joe Crede, Livan Hernandez, Adam Everett, Mike Lamb, Craig Monroe, Ramon Ortiz, Sidney Ponson, Jeff Cirillo, Rondell White, Tony Batista, Phil Nevin, Ruben Sierra, Bret Boone, Pat Borders, Jose Offerman, and James "Hollywood" Baldwin.

How long until Clete joins the esteemed list?

And here's the Fox Sports Southwest Girls, Kaime & Liddy.

Those names are ridiculously stupid, but Liddy > Kaime.

Twins starters' ERA this year: 7.06. Eeesh.

Loved a Gardy quote a couple days ago on the starters saying we didn't need anyone with an "S" on their chest, we just need the starters to throw strikes.
Seems to me that's the problem Gardy.
So far this year the Twins have walked just 58 batters, (best in the American League, T-2nd best in baseball) the problem is they've also given up 38 homers, (Worst in the American League and in baseball) 23 by guys who have started a game.
They do throw strikes, then they get hit 400+ feet.

I've said for years that there's a fine line between "pitching for contact" and "hucking meatballs."

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

I saw a tweet yesterday that hinted that Paige isn't going to be an FSN girl much longer. It was something along the lines of "It has been a fun year, but I have to get back to pursuing my education" or something like that. Which must be why this whole search thing is going on. And I firmly believe that Paige>Jenny, and I won't be persuaded, the fact that you could project a movie on Jenny's front teeth is a big turn off.
