2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

And the bullpen strikes again!
These pitchers are so pathetic.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Gotta love bringing in your lights-out reliever...and then he walks the only two guys he faces. STOP NIBBLING AND THROW STRIKES!!!

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Awesome, then oops.

Hopefully we can still close this one out.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Eduardo Escobar: Looks like a 23 year old utility player who is missing one utility at the major league level: The ability to hit. Escobar

Pedro Hernandez: A 23 year old lefty who it looks like they converted into a starter last year in the minors. Hernandez

Even given what Liriano has given you guys as of late, I still think you got butt-****ed on this trade.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Whatever, if they weren't going to sign him, they may as well get whatever scraps they can.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

So what does it say about the AL Central that the 1st place White Sox can score 4 in the 1st against the Pathetic Twinkies . . . and the Pathetic Twinkies ties it up 4-4 in the bottom of the 1st?

Also, I'd like to say: It's cool and hip to hate on Danny Valencia, but I've always liked him; and I've always thought a not-insignificant part of the Valencia Hate has been the weird Minnesota tendency to dislike anybody who's just generically happy, and confident; and so I was glad to hear that he'd been called up this week; and glad to see he's putting good wood on the ball.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

I know this is true, but still: we got a non-dominating pitcher, and a light-hitting infielder. I guess we don't have enough of that on this team!

Would you rather they have kept his for 6 to 8 more starts and then let him go for nothing when the Twins declined the ~$12M option for a wildly inconsistent pitcher?

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

It think it had more to do with him struggling to hit .200, but hey that's just me.

I should clarify: He deserved to be sent down. That didn't bother me at all. I even had a post about three pages ago saying how depressing it was the he (and Nishi) were still not hitting down in the minors.

What bugged me was all the yahoos saying: What a cocky jerk / what a Miami playbody / blah blah blah. If he can play, he can play; if he can't, he can't. It has nothing to do with being from a warm climate.
