It's a treat for sure. You'll likely have the honor of saying you called a game with half a dozen to a dozen future NHLers.

Just off the top of my head on the team I saw in 2008-09 I know the following have already appeared in the NHL:

Cam Fowler
Jeremy Morin
Kyle Palmieri

Guys like AJ Treais, Drew Shore, Chris Brown, John Ramage, Kevin Lynch, Jerry D'Amigo and Ryan Bourque will probably all make it the near future too if they haven't already. Many of those guys went on to become major impact players at Division I programs.


EDIT: Cam Fowler did not score the winning goal. He scored the game-tying goal and then Ryan Bourque scored the winner. Many of the faces on this team went on to capture the 2010 World Junior gold medal for the USA in that exciting 6-5 overtime win over Canada that year.

I know in the 10-11 season they got their record healthy on a 10 game stretch at home over the winter break. Just always strikes me how these schedules always
seem to have these things.

That's the year I was thinking of. I knew it was something ridiculous. Maybe it was 14 of 16 or something like that home?

And a 16-9 split overall. That was actually a once-every-six-years occurrence, as they hosted the Primelink in the same year that the split with their noncon partners was 4-1 in Plattsburgh's favor (this couldn't happen anymore, as Castleton is now home during the same seasons as Skidmore). Add in four road games to start the season, and things got pretty wacky.

They took a 12 game unbeaten streak into the Cortland/Oswego weekend. Cortland blanked them on a 40 save shutout from their goalie Kuhlman. They were acting like they won the conference. I remember one guy who was with them just whipped out his phone after the final buzzer and called someone and was like "We beat em! 2-0!"

All Potsdam State Men's hockey Games will be played at Massena Arena...not the Arena at the Mall....that place is a dump

Still can just a lot more rules on NCAA selection.

Norwich played Dartmouth last year and will be again. Morrisville has played Princeton twice and I think Neumann may have played Princeton too.

Neumann indeed did play Princeton last season, down in New Jersey. Lost something like 5-1. Not terrible against a D-I team if you ask me. :o:cool:
