2012 - 2013 Schedules

Re: 2012 - 2013 Schedules

The only thing it means is that Huntsville is having trouble scheduling games as an independent who cancelled their program and then changed their minds after a lot of other Division I schools already locked down their schedules.

I wouldn't read anything else into it.
Dont read anything into it..........thats all the fun on these boards:p...we played them in the mid 80's,we had to good a time, lost 2 but if we had any sleep, etc etc:p we would have beaten them both times, nice barn from what I remember, and believe me I remember little from that trip:eek:

Norwich played them when they were DII and DII was viable. Got trounced. I picked on the players in my class for getting killed in a place where water never freezes on its own.

Re: 2012 - 2013 Schedules

Glad to see Geneseo/Adrian will be resuming their East-West rivalry. That's a game I look forward to on the schedule, even if I don't get to see it. I forget, do inter-region games still not count for PWR purposes?

Inter-region games DO NOT count in the primary criteria for the NCAA. They do count in the secondary criteria however.

I agree, the inter-region matchups are always fun to track. I drove three hours to go to the Oswego/Adrian game during the 2009-10 season in what I would say was one of the most highly anticipated NC games in recent D-III history considering it was Adrian's first regular season game against a real established power.

It'd be awesome if the NCAA relaxed those rules for intersession games. More East/West tilts during the break would be great fun, and right now coaches have a disincentive to schedule them.

I believe there was talk of making that possible at one time but I don't know much traction that idea garnered.

Re: 2012 - 2013 Schedules

I thought this was up awhile ago ... or was it just a dream.

I don't remember seeing the whole schedule for the men. I believe a couple of the opening dates were mentioned.

The entire women's schedule was up almost right after their season ended.

It was actually approved, but never implemented. I remember reading about a proposal for changing the rules and allowing all DIII-DIII to count, but limiting the number of out region games that a team is allowed to play, and changing the regions (making them smaller) so the VT and NY would be in different regions.

Re: 2012 - 2013 Schedules

Dont you think its being presumptive putting the date for the National championship on their schedule??:D:D:D:p:p:p

I've seen schools which have never made the NCAA playoffs in their existence list out all the national playoff dates on their schedules...
