Chris McKelvie has signed a contract with the Albany Devils of the AHL. If he stays there or gets sent down to the ECHL will be determined:

Dan Bakala has signed a contract with the Tulsa Oilers of the CHL. He will join former Beavers Ryan Cramer and Drew Fisher:

The Manitoba Bison will already have six games under their belt, going 1-1 in a preseason tournament (L to Saskatchewan 5-2, W over Regina 5-0), 2 preseason wins over Regina (6-2, 6-2) and two regular season losses to Alberta (4-2, 7-2). They will play North Dakota on Saturday before playing in Bemidji on Sunday.

I know I've mentioned this before, but I'm just amazed at how well Sirianni is playing in Italy! I would hope some day he comes back.

Don't know if that will happen. According to the Valpelice website, he has dual Canadian-Italian citizenship. Also, some of these players end up making more "Across the Pond" then they would in the lower minor leagues on this side.

Any idea who is in the WCHA Traveling Party that will be in the house on Friday? Hopefully, with all seats being free, you guys can pack the place!

I knew I should've thrown a ;) in there, but I figured that we were playing dueling sarcasm.

I haven't heard who's coming. I've heard that one AD is for sure, as well as a league official. I could ask Dr. Brophy, but I know that he wouldn't tell me. I got the sense that 3-4 people would make the trip. I might know on Friday.

From what I have heard:
Bruce McLeod
Dr. Rick Goeb from BSU
Dr. Richard Davenport from Mankato

True statement: I had no idea that it was McLeod until the day before, and only because one member of the Huntsville media told me in an email that I was the one who leaked it, which meant that he could use it in his column. I expected McLeod to be in attendance, but no one had leaked it to me, I swear. I don't ask some questions because I don't want to be entrusted with the answer.
