2012-13 D1 Scores and Results

Re: 2012-13 D1 Scores and Results

NU is completely useless, and loses 5-4 to BU despite a late charge after being down 5-2 late.

Not useless at all. They are just helping the cause of setting up that year end HE B vs B clash of the Titans.
Besides, don't you want to be there when BC has a chance to finish them off ?? :D :D

Unfortunately the only remaining women's hockey game I am expecting to go to is BC @ UConn, and the Huskies have been finished off a long time ago

Re: 2012-13 D1 Scores and Results

Scoreless after one at Alfond Arena. Vermont has the slight edge in shots, and a huge edge in faceoff wins, but will be on the PK for 1:50 to start the 2nd. I predicted Vermont to win, but it sure would work out better for UNH if Maine kept points from Vermont:)

Still scoreless after two. Question - Maine had two power plays in the first, then in the second, Vermont's Wente got called for a double minor (Checking / Roughing) and served four minutes. The box score has Maine listed as 0 - 3 on the PP. Shouldn't it be 0 - 4? The penaltied were not concurrent.

0 - 0 at the end of regulation. Seems like the folks that run Live Stats don't work overtime, the screen is locked at 3:43 of OT still no score. Final from maine, 0 - 0. Everybody gets a point~

The tie puts UVM even with Northeastern at fourth place in Hockey East with a game in hand over the Huskies. Had they picked up the win, they'd have been tied with Providence for third. UNH is two points behind UVM and Northeastern, with three games in hand on Northeastern, two on UVM, and three points behind the Friars with two games in hand there. Things could get interesting as league play continues. Home ice in the playoffs is up for grabs for sure!

Make that BC 2-0 a minute into second

BC 3-0 Carpenter with first two, Field with third

Watching some women's college hockey tonight for the first time in what feels like forever. I know it doesn't seem like much, but I am just so incredibly thankful for small moments like these...where you can sit back and just appreciate the finer things in life. Blessed beyond belief... :o

Watching BSU @ UMD... Like watching paint dry. UMD having their way with the Beavers

UMD up 3-0 half way threw the 3rd.

Kate Wilson with her 100th point with an assist on the 3rd goal. Congrats. Also, goalie Black gets an assist on the 2nd goal (pp), that's two in 2 games for her.... Cool

Final: Amanda Kessel 3, Minnesota State 1.

No, in all seriousness, it was 8-1 Gophers over the Mavericks. Minnesota extended its win streak to 31 games. Seven different Gophers, including Kessel, had multiple points. Kessel got a natural hat trick in the second period, her fourth hat trick of the year, plus an assist; she also did it with a shorty, a power play tally, and one at even-strength. Kessel now has 198 points for her career, 68 of them coming so far this season (she's now on pace for 124), with 20 in her last 5 games.

Noora Räty played only the first period, but that was enough for the win -- her 21st of the season, 97th of her career. Amanda Leveille made 8 saves in two periods and still has not been scored upon in nearly 220 minutes of action this season.

Lauren Smith got the lone goal for Minnesota State on a breakaway. Räty got a piece of the shot, but the puck dribbled just across the goal line inside the far post.
