Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs III: History Will Be Made

Few things in the hockey world make me as happy as seeing the Canucks get obliteraped like that.

Do it three more times, please, Boston.

My question would be, what was Vigneault thinking leaving Ro8erto in the net after #5 or #6? Even if tonight wasn't entirely his fault, why do you risk destroying the confidence he has built up since getting the Chicago monkey off his back? Or is leaving him in showing confidence? If so, whoops.

That reminds me: as much as I hate Chicago (and the song), I would have LOVED it if B's fans started singing "Chelsea Dagger" after one of those late goals.

So, I really think it would be funny if the Bruins would work "Chelsea Dagger" into the Game 4 music....:D

I just saw the replays, I wish I could have watched it, looked like a fun one. I love seeing the Canucks destroyed.

This is ALL on the NHL. I LIKE that Boston isn't letting things go.

Absolutely.

Vancouver's chicken**** thuggery has lit a fire under Boston like nothing else could have. If Mr. Chewtoy had been suspended, the edge comes off, and Vancouver gets to replay their "woe is us" tape they used in Round 1 to good effect, cowing the NHL officials in that series.

The next big question will be whether the NHL will do the right thing and suspend Rome for the series. And while they are at it, to fine or suspend for at least two other intent-to-injure attempts - Hansen and Torres - in Game 3.

Vancouver has been headhunting - seeking to injure - this entire playoff season. Its time for the NHL to cut that off at the knees and send a message that enough is enough.
