...the I Hate Everything Boston bandwagon that so many of you occupy

To be fair, the entire state of Massachusetts is viewed by the rest of the country in the same way that everyone has viewed New Jersey ever since Jersey Shore came on the air. I can't really argue against it, even if Boston is one America's greatest cities.

Making it to the conference finals in game 7 vs a team with nearly identical records and a slew of all world first rounders. I mean come on, we re UNH fans and know what choking is ( sorry had to say it).

Honestly I’d say boston is outclassed in this series and has managed to bring it to game 7. This ain’t Boston blowing 3-0, or several 3-1 leads against a lower seed. This is hard fought, close playoff hockey.

I think this team can be better next year...

I agree, they can be better. And I agree, this is an incredibly close series, and I'm not too shocked it's gone 7.

I don't think so much that if they lose, Game 6 and 7 were the chokes. But they really should've been up 3-1 going to Boston. I look at Game 4. That was a lead they choked away.

3 goal leads have been a kiss of death in all series this year. Game are wide open. people forget, but the game is a lot different when you don’t have a two line pass. Forwards have a lot more with the clutching/grabbing they got rid of.

3-0 back in 2000 is not what it is today.

Very true, but look at how they've played in this series when they've gotten the lead, especially in that game. They sit back on their hands and try and keep it. That's what's most frustrating to me. They need to keep their foot on the gas and continue to be aggressive. If we had a PP, we would've gone up 4-0 on them in Game 4 and it would've been over.

Boston's a great city. It's great because of its history, and all the people from other places who go through there for school and work. :)

I'm not a big fan of NYC, but at least it's possible to walk down the street there without wanting to punch everybody born there in the face. ;) (Note: Staten Island is not eligible for this offer of clemency.)

BTW, don't lump all of Mass into the same cesspool. The western borderlands with NY state are beautiful and the people are great.

OK, this needs to be fixed. The state of Mass is fine and very nice. Even the people are nice. Once any professional/college sport is brought into the mix, that becomes the problem. It's like Yankees fans who aren't from NY. It's like Jets fans. It's the pink hats and the puck bunnies. It's why I hate Yankee fans who chart Buck Foston! Hate the teams. Hate the puck bunnies and the pink hats (male or female). Hate those jack bags who have that sense of entitlement. Hate the smugness from fans. Don't hate Mass. Don't hate Boston.

If there were no sports, no one would have a problem with Mass (except that stupid accent).

Jersey, on the other hand, was hated LOOOONG before the morons of Jersey Shore.

I dunno. Outside of Tanglewood and Williams (which aren't perfect, either) there's a lot of tea party in Western Mass. The memory of Shay's Rebellion lives on.

That's NEW Jersey! Where else can you find a giant hollowed out elephant as a tourist attraction?

And the home of some of the finest people employed in sanitation that this country has ever seen. Plus some of the best political machines this side of the Hudson!

And finally, home of the Statue of Liberty. I know what the map says - the heck with the courts!

Well, the first flight left on time. I have WiFi, but its a tad spotty. Video seems okay though. Here's hoping it stays that way.

GAMETIME.

We actually had to watch that, didn't we?

What a period so far. Very enjoyable, albeit stressful, to watch.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs III: History Will Be Made

hopefully in a couple hours we won't be asking "What if Lucic hadn't gone 5-hole?"

i was hoping he'd just go to a side and beat him that way... tough to miss those in a critical game.... still... **** good period, I think the Bruins had the better of it... just keep working.
