Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs III: History Will Be Made

Alouettes play at Olympic Stadium I thought? I could be wrong.

UT has an outdoor field. How much does it seat though?

Edit: Allouettes play outdoors, with the stadium seating 25,000 and change. Not nearly big enough.

Edit 2: UT's stadium holds 5,000 people.

Alouttes use Olympic for big games like playoffs and stuff. I wish Exhibition Stadium were still around so TOR could play there.

Setoguchi. I think that's his 35th goal of the series.

BMO field (Home to FC Toronto) holds 25,000

Percival Molson Stadium in Montreal and BMO Field are too small. Not only is Varsity Stadium (home of the U of T Varsity Blues) far to small, it's right downtown with little or no parking.

Rogers Stadium (aka Skydome) and the Big Owe in Montreal have enough seats, but the roof at Rogers can't be opened in winter, while Olympic Stadium's roof is permanent.

As for Exhibition Stadium -- I don't miss sitting there watching the Argos and later the Blue Jays while a cold wind blows in off Lake Ontario.

Jesus God, that was a horrid turnover.

That one might have been fatal.

BMO Field is built on the site of the old Exhibition Stadium. A Heritage Classic in Toronto would almost certainly be at BMO as Toronto FC is "owned" by MLSE and BMO Field is operated by MLSE as well.

(I put owned in parenthesis as the ownership structure in MLS is a bit different but I don't feel like explaining it)

There is a lot of scotch in this glass. I hope to savor it.

Well frickity frick.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs III: History Will Be Made

Wings likely down to 10 fowards after that bit of friendly fire.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs III: History Will Be Made

Sharks: 2 seconds in the offensive zone
Red Wings: 2 minutes in the offensive zone

Going to be a long rest of the game..........

It's going to be a matter of whether the Wings can get a lead without running out of gas with the short bench.

Unless one of them gets Kronwalled, like Heatley just did, again.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs III: History Will Be Made

I don't think it's our night, even with this upcoming PP.

You've seen the Sharks 3rd period play the last few games, right? We're back to "hold on to our ankles and hope our undies don't rip" mode right now.
