Ive said this forever but here we go again...
I've never seen a "good" goalie give up so many bad goals like Thomas does...
Just a shame for Bruins' fans that Seguin will be back in the press box when Bergeron returns.
Heh. Gotta applaud the honesty.Canadiens make it official after a week of speculation and sign Alexei Emelin (or Aleksey Yemelin, take your pick). Definitely a guy that could make Bruins fans forget how much they hate Subban, because Emelin is a dirty player. If there were prop bets on "will this player be suspended by the NHL next year?", I'd be flying to Vegas to throw down on that.
Even though the B's won, they have to be shaking their heads on this one. A game where the PP finally works, they get six past the best 'minder in the playoffs, and they still nearly choke away a three-goal lead.
Heh. Gotta applaud the honesty.
One other thing, on honesty. After watching all 3 of the Bruins' series so far, a good portion of the Montreal series was boring...and I don't think that was Boston's fault.
Montreal is the best defensive team that boston has played so far. Tampa would go far with montreals D and goaltending.
The big question is what happens to Seguin when Bergeron comes back. Boston needs this guy to not only score, but to shut down other top lines, play special teams. He’s good at this and boston’s recent goal struggles in part might be due to different players playing defensive hockey. I bet boston lets up fewer goals once he is back. That said, you can not bench seguin. Problem is Kelly , marchand, and Krejci are playing well too. Are they going to shift him to wing and bench pallie? Pallie had a bad turnover last game , and has looked average.
Just musing. Not really sure how coach would juggle lines. Having a pure goal scorer saved boston this last game, and might save the series. If he keeps this up, look out.
Paille had some great shifts last night. Especially the one where he killed 40 seconds of a PP by himself.
Seems clear as day Paille is the weakest link and most expendable...Claude's head will be on stick if he benches Seguin.
As mentioned, Paille is a member of the PK unit (as is Campbell). Shawn Thornton is not on any special teams. He is most likely the odd man when if/when Bergeron is back.
Woohoo! Jonathan Ericsson is an idiot. Turned down 2mil from the Wings because he felt he "could get more elsewhere."
