My early morning bruins/philly take. Bear in mind last night we did shots for goals. Fear not, all of us are functioning at work today =)
First off, this club squeaked by a team they probably should have beaten in 6. Montreal to their credit took advantage of special teams much more than boston did, and where a post away from making today that much more depressing. Philly is bigger, meaner, and has better goal scorers. UNH home grown JVR is starting to turn it up ( gonna have to boot him from my facebook friends list), and this quad is deep defensively. Why can boston beat philly? Goal tending. Price is better than whoever philly puts between the pipes.
Boston can win IF they do something with that god awful power play, and exploit whoever is in net. They know this and they are probably already at work making it right.
Onto round 2!

Oh, I like you, just have never liked the Bruins. If you played for the B's I'd like them too.
Of course it is nothing compared to my contempt for the filthy Flyers.

If Boston starts getting regular production from their top (Krejci) line, AND they figure out the power play issues, I would pick them to advance. If we get more of what we saw in the Montreal series, I'll take Philly. And it won't go 7.

Same here. I think I want the Caps, but I feel like they're younger than the Bolts, and the Bolts are kind of all in this year with Vinny getting older and St. Louis getting even older.

Right. I have some optimism though as it seemed that boston matched up well against philly in the regular season, and not so much against montreal. A boost in the PP will help boston, since philly probably takes more penalties than the habs do.

ovechkin has a lot of swagger which probably ****es some people off. Crosby on the other hand is a 100% business kind of person, so its probably a matter of personality people can relate too.

It's the same dilemma here with me. I'm a ovechkin guy, as are a few of my friends, and the other half are crosby lovers. I want Ovi to get a cup, to shut all the crosby guys up.
My predictions: Wings and Vancouver in the West, and Philly and Washington in the East. All series in 6 games, Vancouver in 5. If a series goes to 7, I think it'll be Boston/Philly.
Who I want to win: Caps, Flyers, (I hate everything to do with boston, sorry all.) Predators and Wings (soley for my pool.)
In the sharks/wings and philly/boston series, I hate both teams, and hope both must forfeit the series and the other two can play in the finals
