Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

Two questions.

How has Toews not scored? He's been all over the ice, especialy in games 4 and 5, and nothing to show for it.

Who starts game 6? Schnieder? Luongo? Luuu is running on 10 goals in 65:00 of hockey right now.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

Who knows. Vancouver's problem is that they're being exposed as a one line team. Hansen-Kesler-Burrows has two goals in 5 games. They had 76 in the regular season. Kesler's GPG in the postseason is worse than Joe Thornton's for his career (3 goals in 28 games vs. 16 goals in 95) and Thornton's a notorious a) passer over shooter and b) master of disappearing for a series at a time. Bolland has the Sedin's neutralized, so Kesler and his 41 regular season goals need to put up or shut up.

Of all people, Michael F Ryder. He of the paper airplanes in the press box during the Habs-Bruins series when he was a Hab 3 years ago. Grrrr.

I’ll flip the tables on you a little. A few games ago, I said Boston outplayed Montréal in those losses and I stuck by that assertion. Last night was the other way around. I felt Montreal showed the hell up, and did a lot with all their chances. That loss swings the momentum in a series that Montreal should have really had. Last nights game was one of those stressful games for a Bs fan since it seemed Montréal was doing virtually everything better. Credit to Boston, they simply don’t back down, and they are never out.

Montreal does a great job forcing the play down the side boards, and cutting off any chance for an offensive pass. Their D were well positioned, and often got turnover in both zones. Boston struggled mightily to clear, with puck battles, and probably should have lost that game. That goal by Subban was a ****ing laser. A god**** laser. Even in slow motion, you didn’t see it. Bar down.

We have a series now. Best of 3. Lets finish this thing boys!!!

You better be careful. Posts like this can get you suspended around here. ;):D

What does it matter to you? Aren't you a Rangers fan?
I don't think my own rooting interest has any bearing on the fact that I find Boston sports fans to be obnoxious.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

How did we all miss the obvious joke of finding out whether the Montreal fans called 911 on Ference?

Firefly was the best D on the ice tonight for Bs. No question. he stepped it up and might have saved the series.

You know who I haven't thought about in a while? Pat Falloon.

TSN's Jets Meter up to 75%. Highest it's been ever. It was sitting around 60% for a week, and before that just 30%.

They're very conservative about it also... Unlike jetsowner.com that has been in the 90% range for a year.

*cough*Kettletopot-You'reblack!!*cough*

:)

ETA: Vancouver is most likely going to blow this series because I'll be there when they would normally be the second round and so I won't get to go to a game. Jeez!!

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

Seems like it's inevitable if Goldwater's lawsuit threat is serious. The team has to play somewhere, right?

Who starts game 6? Schnieder? Luongo? Luuu is running on 10 goals in 65:00 of hockey right now.

7uongo does not get paid $5 million to scribble out charts and open the bench door. He plays.

We all love you as well.

I'm sorry, you blow a 1-0, 3-1 and 4-3 lead to team with no power play, a coach who resembles a potato and your main concern is that someone flipped off the crowd? Really?

Don't worry about it NY and Boston. You're both obnoxious.

i lived in boston and throught the fans were obnoxious...but in a cheeky sort of way. There are Dime bags in all sports followings. New englanders just happen to have worse driving conditions which ups our mood swings.

WICKED ****AH DOWN AT DA PACKIE ON PAHK STREET!!!

(seriously, what an awful accent)
