It's a sports story and should be covered by a sports network. They cover the Tour de France, EPL and Champions League. TSN doesn't seem to have a problem with it. They cover NFL stories all the time.

If this was a Russian basketball team they might bump up their coverage just a tad, especially if it had a few former NBA players.

ESPN is more likely to give you news coverage than a hockey player.

You didn't answer my question.
Yeah they cover those sports, so?
TSN is hockey centric, I expect them to cover it.
All I'm saying is ESPN doesn't care about hockey, and this isn't an NHL team, so it's not going to be high on their priority list.

I'm sure they'd cover a Russian soccer team if their plane crashed and everyone died. It's no excuse.

Sorry if I overreacted. It just bothered me that I was talking to my best friend when I told him the story and he has SportsCenter on all the time. He said you'd think they'd mention that. Kind of set me off.

It's been the lead story for every ESPN sportscenter on the radio for the last few hours. Holy overreaction, people. I think half the reason other people don't like hockey is because how friggin' insecure hockey fans are.
